6AM is one of my favorite times on vacation.
i make a pot of coffee (the snoring drowns out the dripping

), then sit out on the balcony in my PJs, with mug, camera, notebook & pen.
curl up nice & comfy on the chair, sipping java, & watching the sun slowly come up over the boardwalk. the "transformation" wows me everytime:
everything starts out in a sepia tone: the lake, the BC/YC, the BW itself, & the silence all add to the feeling of being in another side of WDW that is yours alone.
then the sun starts coming up, splashing rays of light onto the water. the thumping of joggers, the dads with kids going to the bakery (funny, but its almost always the dad with one child, & the child saying loudly "what is mom (or bro/sister) getting? i think i want a <fill in the blank>!!!" & the dad hushing them.

), the squeaking of laundry carts & quiet chatter.
the thick humidity starts to disipate, as the scent of fresh breads and pastries from the bakery take its place.
like watching a movie in slo-mo, the transformation occurs so slowly, until sun comes out in all its glory, the ferries start their tooting, and guests & CMs fill in the "world".
honestly, i would be totally content with spending an entire vacation just waking up on my balcony 24/7, never visiting parks or going anywhere else....
