I can hardly believe we only have 56 days until we leave and I feel like there is still so much to do! Panic may have set in

I had enough airmiles for one 7 day base park pass so we only have to purchase one and add the hopper plus 3 days to this one. I ordered it last Friday and it was in the mailbox yesterday

I also booked off May 18 from work! I was stressing over the fact that I work until 5pm and don't usually get out until 530ish and that we have to be at the airport by 3am....when exactly would I get everything done! As soon as I knew I had the Friday, I booked our mani's/pedi's for 9am! It's a tradition for us to do this before a trip and I figure we'll be home by 11am so I have the rest of the day and evening to finish everything up! I'm hoping by evening we'll be all done and relaxing

When we go on our trips with Peg and her family we usually go to The Keg Steakhouse for dinner the night before we leave but Jasmine and I decided that was a tradition we wanted to keep for when we go with them. Not quite sure what we're going to do but I have a feeling it might be a grilled cheese sandwich and tomato soup (mmmmm, comfort food)! We'll see...still time to change our minds...we're girls afterall!

Jasmine picked me up from last night because it was her day off and she wanted to do a little shopping....I was exhausted after a long day, but went anyways! My biggest thing was needing to be home in time to watch the Jet's play Washington....so I hustled her along! She ended up with some of the cutest purchases which I promise to post once she's home from shopping today...then I'll just put everything up. She ended up buying this Jessica Simpson jacket which isn't for Disney, but so classy looking. Looked fantastic on her so because she got 20% off from work she bought it! Can't wait until you see it! I purchased one top...just wasn't in the mood! Maybe tomorrow I will drop her off at work and hit a few of the stores I enjoy!

So as you can see things are really coming together! More later.....

So glad you're here and all caught up...I know how life gets in our way It's one of my favorite traditions! I did tell Jasmine tho that this year I don't want to be running into any stores that day, last year the Wal-mart "run-in" cost me $168

Love that you and Jasmine have a mani-pedi tradition. Amusingly enough, so do my mom and I. We're planning on getting one right before our trip, as well. Guess there's just something fun about spending a few hours relaxing with a loved one.

We don't and i hate that I have prepared the house ALL week and probably spent the day before out trip cleaning up floors and making everything spotless only to have a huge messy kitchen after to deal with!!! SSooooo, I think I'm adopting your tradition Get the house ready and spotless - then go out for supper so it's still clean and we can come home and relax and go to bed early.

I only have one other person to worry about and I knew she was planning a few days off in May but it ended up being at the beginning so it worked out perfectly!

We love our tradition of mani/pedi's...my bff and her daughter are going to meet up with us towards the end of our appts and we're all going to go for lunch after! I'm looking forward to that now too

As much as we try and be as organized as possible there is always last minute things to attend to isn't there? I'm hoping to alleviate that this year...now let's see if I'm successful!

As you know, I am a little OCD so taking the Friday off really was a no brainer for me...not quite sure why I didn't do it in the beginning

We started that tradition in 2000 when Jasmine was 8. The lady that used to do our nails would always do nail art on Jasmine and she just loved it! Now it's just one of those little luxuries that we really enjoy! I was thinking that would be our first of the season but with the weather being as wonderful as it has been I might need one before that so I can crack the sandals out

I can't believe it either Mary Ellen. I haven't even started my index cards yet....but today looks like it's going to be cool and dreary so I just might get that little task accomplished today

That's awesomeyou guys are going to have a blast. We always go a little early so we can both check out all the colors and make our final decisions Jasmine has decided to do the shellac mani/pedi this time but I tried it once and it didn't do great things for my nails so I'll be just getting a regular!

Such a relief I was doing the same....working my butt off so the house and all the laundry was done before we left...only to have a messy kitchen to clean after! As I was reading your post I thought "we won't go to The Keg but we'll definitely go somewhere cause I'm not going to want to clean the kitchen again" so thanks for that

Last summer we had enough for our Disney passes and US passes..it was great! I was worried this year that I wouldn't but the Safeway by us ended up having spend $100 get 100 miles every week for about six months so didn't take long!

It's all those silly little things that you think oh I've got a ton of time and you really don't. Jasmine is a huge help with shopping and running around so I know I can always count on her help too! Not too sure what her schedule will be like the week before we leave but she's certain she'll have no days off.

I agree Kathy...I thought about leaving on the Friday and then I would have had to take an additional 2 days off so I just kept with the original plan! I figure if I do a little bit every evening there won't be must left to do on Friday!

I'm re-thinking the dinner....I may just swing by our local little Italian Specialty Shop and pick up a prepared dinner to split! It's made to order and heavenly ..... and no clean up!

We've had a good weekend here, a little cooler too but still nice.
