Greetings from the PLANE!!
We are on an American flight with WiFi, so I am postin from the air.
I have to say that I HATE flying out of Terminal D! HATE IT!!!
Terminal D is the international terminal. Apparently they do not have curbside check-in. Or it isn't open until later in the day. Or something.

So we had to have a guy load the bags on a cart and roll them over to the kiosk for us to pay the checked bag fees. That was fine. They tag the bags, weigh them, and off we go.
There is a woman hollering at us to get out of the line and PROVE that our carry-on bags will fit in the little tester. We fly with these bags ALL THE FLIPPIN' TIME!

So we go to the tester. My bag won't fit because my "liquids" are in the front pocket.

I take the liquids out, stuff them in my backpack, put my bag in there so the woman can see that it DOES fit. DH had already put his in there, but apparently she missed it. He had to put it back in. The wheel got stuck when he tried to pull it out and she tried to say it was too big. NO, it is FINE! She finally let us go through to security.
So we strip half naked, take the laptop out, put all of our crap on the belt. "BAG CHECK!"

Something about DS's backpack. I think it is his trading pins. It isn't. It's the darn tubes of pennies & quarters for the pressed penny machines. Good gracious. So, we stand there while TSA goes through his bag checking for sticks of explosives.

They were very nice about it, but it delayed us a bit.
We get to our gate without further incident. But we are in Terminal D, where there is NO McDonald's. There is an Einstein Bagels. DH writes it off as having too long of a line. For crying out loud, there is no food on the plane! Stand in the line! So I stood in the line. Got back to the gate as they called our group to board. Fine.
We left the gate on time. I imagine we will arrive pretty much on schedule, even though we had a bit of a line in front of us for take-off.
