Why is it so cold all over the US this week?

It is FRIGID here i nSE MN.

Windchill warning out again tonight, minus 35 below with air temp minus 20.

This is seriously cold with cars not starting, and it's a health risk if you're not covered and out for more than a few minutes.

Yep, we were in the 20's last night. I have heard possible teens one night this week. Hard freezes this week. I thought this was Florida? It is the WIND that is making it miserable. I'm ready for summer!

How cold is it supposed to get in Orlando? We have friends who just got married last night in a snowstorm and werelucky to fly put to Orlando for their honeymoon. I hope they get some warm weather since they were such troopers dealing with the storm on their wedding day...their winter wonderland theme was no stretch

We woke up to a frigid 19 degrees here in north metro Atlanta this morning.

The Chihuahuas went outside under protest and none of them would stay out long enough to poop, they knew that they had to pee, but they waited until they got back inside and then pooped on the pads.

When Gabby left for the airport to fly out to Utah this morning, I moved my car into the garage, it didn't like starting in the cold, which worries me a bit, but then again, it hasn't moved since it was parked around 1 PM on New Year's Eve and it has been below freezing most of that time, so it's sort of expected. Hopefully, it will start without a fuss in the morning.

They are predicting snow here Thursday night. I guess I should go to the grocery store now, because these fools see one snowflake and suddenly there is no bread or milk and there are 1000 traffic accidents.

Don't forget no school or work. If have one snow shower we shutting down the city. Yes I said shut down the city. LOL

I am prepare I went to Wal-Mart last night and got bread and milk.

I West Palm Beach ( about 3 hours south of the Castle) it is 53 outside and 67 inside my house. I had sox but no shoes on and was just too cold. I had to put shoes on and may just need to run upstgairs to grab the electric blanket. I even closed the bedroom windows a few hours ago. I love this weather, but I wish it would snow for a day or 2.

I'm use to the cold, I've spent half my life living in VA, RI and IN ( dealt with -35 degree weather there) but it's not supposed to get this cold down here.

At least I know what to do to keep our pipes from freezing and whatnot, can't say my new neighbors from southern CA do. They moved here in Sept and she said it was chilly and she didn't know if she could deal with this cold weather. It was in the 70s

We are 4 hours north of Orlando, and we will hit 16, 18 a couple nights this week. Was mid 20's this morning.

I have lived in various states and countries and Florida cold seems colder to me! Wet and windy with water all around. I played in the snow in Michigan and it was much warmer than what I just walked in outside here! I don't get it.

I am ready for SUMMER!

I live in Florida, lower Alabama by Pensacola.
It has been 30s-50s. My mom is freezing but I love the cold. I am barefoot, wear flip-flops. At bed I wear shorts and a big t-shirt.
I feel crazy

But to school I wear hoodies and pants and flip flops.

Oh...I don't mind 63, lol. I like to bundle up in covers with cold air on my face. I just don't like it that cold in my 2 yr old son's crib...brrrr. He won't keep covers on, and his little body was like an ice cube this morning. I guess I need to invest in a sleep sack or something for him...

Without the space heater, it would have been about 56 in his room. I really don't know why it is so dang cold in there, considering our house is just 3 years old.

And my brother was complaining how cold it is in Northern/Mid Florida right now. So I guess it must be really cold there

Put two pairs of PJ's on him for bed. That is what people do up here when it is cold since kids kick off the covers.

You should see how fast our dog runs out her dog door, does her business and runs back in. She is VERY thankful there is some snow on the deck so she doesn't have to go all the way down to the yard .
