Truth be told...I have been wanting to go back to the WL all along, but Dh would not hear of it, just because we were there for Thanksgiving:rolleyes: So I dropped the idea weeks ago in favor of YC, then AKL, then POFQ, then CSR and back and forth between those four for weeks. Then all was settled...CSR. Until today. A big convention like Tom Joyner's sounds a bit much. I was back to AKL. Then YC.... then...

I don't know what happened. Long story...but it's been a very weird, up and down, emotional day. Out of nowhere Dh says, "Let's go back to the WL". Okay, I almost cried. We were at my MIL's (I guess that explains some things) and we just started talking very excitedly and happily on our little loveseat. I feel at total peace with this decision. Nothing feels like it's "missing". All is well!!!!

Only one problem...getting so obsessed over where to stay on a vacation probably isn't normal!

Well Susy - it's normal here. Isn't it a great feeling knowing that decision has been resolved. Enjoy your vacation!

Sounds totally normal to me! Glad your decision is made and you're happy with it! Isn't it great we all have people to share these tidbits of news with? The rest of the world just doesn't understand! (boy, are they missing out!)

Debbie

I feel the same...I can't decide and talk about it way too much...
It is so addicting...And there are so many good choices!

HA HA !!
Not normal? No way?????
I obsess about everything in my Disney planning.Right now I am in the middle of a MAJOR..... PRIORITY SEATING, DECISION MAKING UPHEAVEL

My family thinks I have gone off my Disney deep end.I just can't understand it when they don't want to talk Disney for the 5th time in the same day,EVERYDAY! ROFL :rotfl:

My point is Susy........ if your not normal, than most of us here on the boards probably are not either. So, your in great company ::yes::

I hope you have a ball at WL! We are staying there for the first time in September and I can't wait!!

Chris

How wonderful for you::yes:: ::yes:: Being normal is boring, and we are all fun loving wonderful people - probably as far as normal as they come:tongue:

Half the fun and yes, half the stress comes from deciding where to stay. You said it, there are so many great choices:confused: that you NEED to talk about it five times a day!

My DH wasn't a huge Disney fan until we got back from our trip last week. He had spent lots of time making fun of me... not any more! Now he was so glad I agonized over ps' and got up early to get them! He saw the look on our DD5's face! He saw people get turned away for lunch at Sci Fi! He experienced DiveQuest as a surprize and now wants to go to WDW every year, twice ayear if we could afford it!

So I guess I'm blessed to not have a "normal" husband anymore! Now he is truly a DH:lovestruc :rotfl: I lvoe him AND he keeps me laughing!

We are truly one happy abnormal family!

I'm so glad it all worked out in the end! And by that I mean all worked out as in you got your way. HEHE Just kidding... but kinda not. It obviously has made you so happy and if you're happy- he's happy! I bet! :)

and here I thought I was the only one obsessed!! I am now at the Poly for the 5+2 pkg, so no switching allowed, and I keep thinking, I shoulda booked the AKL!!

Now I'm obsessing about trying to 'request' a longhouse, I'm hoping we're not treated like 2nd class citizens because we're taking advantage of the pkg - I'm thinkng Tokelau

but in the end I'm sure as long as I look thru the experience of my 7yr dd, all will be perfecttt!! princess:

Maybe......we're the normal ones and everyone else has it all wrong??!!!!!! LOL:jumping1:

COOLDISNEYMOM -- you hit it right on the head...WE are the normal ones. It is the ones who do not understand that are abnormal :hyper:

Thanks for all the support! It's really bad at our house. My 6 yo has lines memorized from Great Hotels. He wants to stay at the hotel with the "raccoon peaking out it's hole". Another favorite line of his is "I'm turning into a man"- SB a the Yachtman's Steakhouse.

Well there's your problem right there! WDW isn't a normal vacation!!!

A normal vacation is skiing in Colorado or the Florida Keys or a San Francisco trolley car....WDW is a pilgrimage. Of course we're obsessed!!! DD looks pale if I even suggest changing resorts!

Funny thing is... I thought the more $$$ I had to spend , the easier it would be-boy was I wrong! I am waiting for FL Res discounts (if and when) and then I'll be able to decide on a view (woods, cy, or conc)

Aren't husbands wonderful??

You sound normal to me, but that's why we're all here DISing. Happy planning.

We leave on Thursday and I was debating switching hotels over the weekend. I finally decided to stay with our original choice. (I only decided that because I booked with a code and now the codes are expired)

Well, my DH wasn't happy that I posted this. He said it made him sound mean, so in all fairness I'll say that his first choice was the most expensive one-YC concierge and it was me who was pushing WL and the moderate resorts (although he likes those, too). To compromise, we will be staying one night at the YC in Oct for the F and W festival (just the two of us).

PS's are not problem! Already done!
