Just arrived at MCO, right through ME and into bus. Left within 3 minutes. DH sitting by a guy who has been on 35 minutes and is complaining endlessly about the "cattle car" and the "horrible wait." Now saying if hotel check-in takes this long he is asking for a refund! Hello....I get you were one of the first on the bus and that sucks, but they can't very well take you on an empty bus at Spring Break time. I have a feeling he will not enjoy his week :). On a side note, if MCO is any sort of predictor, it's gonna be crowded!!!!

We've experienced both situations, but you're on the ME! How could you really be unhappy??

How is that all about perception? You had a 3 minute wait he had a 35 minute wait.

That's what I'm saying! We have also experienced both situations but what can you expect? He has seriously done NOTHING but complain very loudly! Poor DH! We were sitting together but got up to allow a family with little ones to sit together.

Maybe I should have said timing but I think it still has to do with perception ad expectations. As I said in the last post, we have been on both ends. If you are first on the bus, you really cannot expect Disney to take a half empty bus to drop you off at the start of a very busy time. Plus, he is already complaining about check-in and we haven't even gotten there yet!

Travel days can really suck. Maybe he's been on an airplane all day and waiting 35 minutes on the bus did him in, who knows. I wouldn't think his whole week is going I suck because he was grouchy about a long bus wait.

Or maybe he's super excited to get to Disney and that's how he expresses it ;).

I feel bad for people like that. I always get a rental, does ME give guests an idea about how long the weight may be?

That poor guy complaining reminds me of my husband:lmao: he has never been to Disney for that reason,he has no desire to go and I don't want to listen to his complaining while I am at my happy place so I leave him at home;).I feel bad for the people he is traveling with, hopefully they can ignore his complaints for most of their trip.

And I would like to commend both you and your husband for being so nice and giving up your seats for a family to be able to sit together and keeping my fingers crossed that this will be the only negative encounter your husband experiences on your trip:goodvibes

That could be...I guess it just makes me sad that some people seem to be so unhappy and hard to please. I have certainly had my share of frustrations and definitely waited a good 30 minutes on a bus to leave but it just doesn't bother me because I am on vacation. I guess the comment that got was that if check-in takes this long, he will demand his money back! I mean, I have waited at hotels in Vegas for over an hour to check-in....when a lot of people arrive, that's what happens. I don't blame anyone or expect my money back. And maybe you just had to be here....many people on the bus where laughing at him!

Sounds like "Grumpy" missed his nap. It's a shame he didn't take one right there on the bus.

Well, I hope he gets his money back for the ME ;)
I wouldn't want to have to wait for 35 minutes on the bus either, but thats why I would arrange for other transportation instead.

I wonder if someone else in the family did all of the planning, and he had no idea what to expect.

One of my trips on the DME bus a guy went crazy when they made the announcement about the bags not being in your room for 3-4 hours. Seems his wife made all of the plans, and he had no clue! I know his wife made the plans because he then started to yell at her about it.

She then started to explain about ADRs, and he went crazy about that too. She ended up on the phone the whole ride, trying to score some meals.

I agree. I have definitely waited at least 30 minutes sitting on DME waiting to head to the resorts, but it has never bothered me...I am on vacation!!!! I do always make sure that everyone goes potty before getting on though because I know a wait is possible and that would not be pretty. :rotfl:

Cattle travel on padded, air-conditioned seats in their cattle car? Pardon me, didn't know that. The waiting guy seriously needs to ask for a refund for his ME experience. Oh, it's FREE? Never mind!

:offtopic: Hey I see you are from Union, Ky....I am from Florence, haha. Small World!! :goodvibes

:lmao: you always manage to find the bloopers. Wish they had a thread on just auto correct problems.

Unfortunately, I never can find the clinkers in my own posts before
someone else does.

Goes to prove the old journalism editor's adage...
