It Never Gets Old.....

As with most topics, I am sure there are many different viewpoints, but as I put in one of my recent posts, I was shocked when I found out how disappointed the family was that we might be skipping WDW in 2014.

We have made a trip to WDW pretty much every year since 2006, and prior to that we went a few times.

Does WDW ever get old for you? I think with DVC we have changed and truly take a more relaxed and enjoy type of approach rather than make it all about the parks. Believe me, we do as many rides as we can, but there is not a "rushed" feel to anything.

I think what is really amazing is that we are still impressed with DVC, we love the resorts, and spending time at the pools, enjoying dinner etc.... I am hoping to bring golf into the mix a little more - and just start doing all the additional things WDW offers.

So far - it just never gets old, that same excitement and joy happen every time we book and plan our trip. The booking is done, now I get to dig in and plan, we love it!

I totally agree with you as I love going back time and time again. Most of our family and friends say "What you are going again??? You just got back!!!" I enjoy going and taking the time to enjoy all of WDW at a much relaxed pace. We went Dec 2013 and found it to busy for us and realized that may not be the best time for us which we can do as being DVC members this is not a once in a life time trip which we are both very grateful for

Yes. It does get old. Sorry! Not want people on these boards want to hear. We have been going to WDW since '71. Stayed at each resort as they opened and finally joined DVC. Lost count but well over 50 trips. Our last trip was May '14. We adapted beautifully to the Magic Bands and FP+ with no problem. So technology is certainly not the issue for us. In fact it was actually a fun process! But we are theme parked out. Too slow to change and upgrade. It's way too crowded and even the off peak is no longer off peak. Disney is finding events to fill in those off peak times to make more and more money (good for us shareholders...but dull for the tourist). So we finally decided to use our points on Vero Beach or Hilton Head ... or just rent them out for a bit until we recover and decide to try it all again. That recovery could be 2015 .. who knows? But I have to say that this year I said, enough. My "magic" is starting to diminish.

Now we are on to our Viking River Tours and other adventures!!

I think the topic of going over and over getting old is going to be very personal. I also think it will go in seasons. There will be times where you want to go over and over again, and at other times just not what you want to do.

Dsney can get old, but DVC doesn't. Lots of other options for things to do around the area, but we still use our DVC.

As most DIS readers know, I look at things in a different light.

We love WDW and enjoy the savings that DVC gives us for a 1 or 2 bedroom. DVC is just a room but it seems that some people may confuse the magic of WDW with the term DVC. Other than the savings, DVC can do a better job IMO.

The rooms need better care and cleaning, The MS CM's need better training and DVC needs to be more transparent on what they do with our money and how they conduct business on our behalf.

That being said, we now spend more time at the resort and less time in the parks. On a 10 day stay last year we entered Epcot once for about 4 hours.
