It is cancer again...this time it's me...

Oh Felecia! I can only imagine how scary this must be for you. Thank goodness there are people here who have been through this and others who can interpret the report for you. Reading what they wrote gave me lots of hope and relief for you. I hope you find the same hope in their words too. I'll be praying for you and your mother. Take care. {{{{Hugs}}}}

I'm glad you've been able to get some answers here. How scary this must be for you. You'll be in my thoughts and prayers. {{{{Hugs}}}}

I'm sorry to hear this. Hopefully you will be able to enjoy the holidays without much worrying. You will be in my thoughts and prayers.

Felicia:

All I can say is relax and wait until you get all of this explained to you by your doctor. Find out the steps to take from there and have faith that you WILL be a survivor.

Hang on, it will be alright.

God bless

Felicia, I feel so bad for you. I will be thinking the most positve thoughts for you!!! {{{{{{{HUGS}}}}}}}

Felicia, the others are right. Thyroid cancer is one of the easiest to beat. Let them get in there and get the rest of it so you can start putting this behind you and get on with MUCH more pleasant things. Bless your heart, you've had a rough time of it for quite awhile. BIG {{{{{HUGS}}}}}, you're in my thoughts and prayers. :(

You are in my prayers Felicia.

I also knew someone with thyroid cancer. We used to work together. She was diagnosed at a young age, had her thyroid removed, and now is the proud mother of two children.

I'm so sorry Felicia! Keeping you in my prayers!!

I do these scans for this all the time and if I had cancer and could pick one it would be thyroid. You will need to have scan every so often just to make sure your free of thyroid tissue. Goodluck I know it is scary but hang in there and read read read all you can about it.

Oh Felicia, I am so sorry to hear your diagnosis. My aunt just got diagnosed with a type of thyroid cancer, but from what I understand it has a VERY high cure rate. My prayers are with both you and your mom. {{{HUGS}}}

Just wanted to echo what has already been said here. Think positive thoughts!!!
Hugs,
Denise

I'm so sorry Felicia.

I'll be thinking of you.

Felicia, you've received alot of great support here and I'd like to add mine to the list! Stay strong! We are here if you need us!!

Hi Felicia. Just wanted to extended my best, along with very importantly, my prayers, to you in the days ahead. Certainly reason for concern on your part, but as said, the cancer you have has such a high, complete cure rate.

You have a great person with you for paying it forward to you, your mom. I think that is wonderful to be able to have someone so close to lean on for support. I know when Marie was going through her breast cancer almost 5 years ago, that it ws a great comfort having her mom, also a breast cancer survivor, to be there every step of the way.

As we have told other folks here on the boards, please allow us to walk with you as you go about the task of curing and recovery and ultimately, remission. You do know personally how important that support has been with your mom, all the prayer and good wishes. Stay in touch with Lady M, as you have. She is a good one to have in your corner.

Many hugs, blessings and good wishes, Felcia, you will be, and your mom will continue to be, in my prayers.

I'm sorry you have to go through this. I'm praying for a quick and complete recovery for you.

Cancer---That dreadful word---report reads like the cancer is contained---that is good. 2nd opinion is always an excellent idea when surgery is prescribed. I'm an Ovarian cancer survior---now that is a cancer type you don't want the doctor to say you have. When we hear the word cancer and then we hear our name it can be overwheming. Just remember you are " lucky -if you had to have cancer you have one that was caught early and has a high cure rate.) Like I said earlier I'm a survior---ovarian cancer is 95% terminal---I'm in that wonderful other group of 5% .

After your next Dr. visit buy a gift for just you---or better yet take your mom and have a wonderful mom and daughter day.

Thoughts are with you as you go through the process--keep good thoughts and have high spirits.

Just think after this is all over---you and I will be in the same club---the survior club.
