We returned from wdw on Thursday. It was a great trip but the best part was the last thing that happened. Something that could have been a tragedy but instead brought out the best of what Disney is all about.
When we got to the airport, as we waited in the ticketing line, my mother realized that she had left a suitcase in a closet at the Boardwalk Villas. The bag was full of toys that my mother had bought from DTD for our kids for Christmas. The ticketing agent for Sun Country airlines - actually a Delta airlines employee contracting for Sun Country - noticed that we were distracted and asked us what was wrong. We told her and she took immediate control of the situation. She asked me what hotel we had been at, what the number was and what our room number was. She called the hotel, eventually talking to the manager of the hotel who told her he/she would look for the bag. She also called her manager to tell him to make sure if the bag came after we were no longer there that it was routed correctly. After about 1/2 hour of waiting, the Boardwalk had not called yet so the ticket agent told us to go to our plane, she would get us word if anything happened. As we boarded our plane the crew told us that not only had the bag been found but the Boardwalk had sent it to the airport in time to be put on the plane. It came off with the rest of the luggage on the turnstile in Minneapolis.
Isn't that awesome. That's why I love Disney. I'm going to write a letter to Delta, Sun Country and to the Boardwalk thanking them.
