Saturday morning, April 30, and all is well. The weather was just exquisite as we set out for the morning. It was just a bit cool, promising a very comfortable day of park touring. The destination for the day is MGM_Disney Studios (or whatever it is called nowadays). I find it ironic that I am not even sure of the name of teh park I like so much :goodvibes . It was a very short bus ride from Pop Century over to MGM. As was the case throughout the trip, bus service was superb -hardly ever a long wait.

We got there as the park was opening. The first thing we did was head for ToT and RnRC. DD8 had said plainly that she would NOT be doing either, so we figured we would do a chidl swap. While in line for ToT our little daredevil DS5 balked at going on the ride. I took the two of them down to the exit area to wait for DW. The child swap worked fine. Whne DW got off the ride, a CM took me back up on a service elevator where I was placed ta the front of the line (one floor up from exit area to entrance if anyone is interested). ToT was awesome as usual.

Next up was RnRC for me and DS5. This would be the first time I had ridden it, so I was psyched. DS just barely made the 48" height restriction. He is such a brave little guy when it comes to coasters. I loved the themed preshow and launch area of this ride. The ride itself felt smooth as silk. I wish I could have done thsi one lots, but it didn't work out that way. I loved the exit where you walk on the red carpet amid the lights of the show. NIce touch :cool1: .

We then did GMR while oin the way over to the Animation show. The real purpose of the day was straight ahead at the end of the Animation show. We are all "Incredible" fans so -dorky us -we were thrilled to get a family photo wwith Mr. Incredible and Elastigirl. Hold on to your hats; here is the REAL dorky part :teeth: . We all had matching Incredible T-shirts. DW found these at the Disney Store -bright red, black trim, and the I logo right in the middle of the chest. We are such geeks :sad2: . We are photo Luddites so have not yet purchased a digital camera; when the prints come back in I will try to post our "family portrait" with us and the other two Incredibles. On a side note, it was cool walking around in those matching shirts all day. Guests and CMs took note frequently. It mad eus feel sort of special, like we were "that family" for a day. I told DW that if I knew the T-shirts wouldn't stink so bad we should wear then for the rest of the trip :rotfl: .

Moving right along... we did Backlot Tour, WWTBAMPI, and played on the HISTK playground for a while. Did lunch at Pizza Planet. This was the first time I had eaten there, and was dreading it because of the bad reports it gets sometimes. I must say though that the pizza was just fine -not great, but not yucky either. DW had a salad that was fresh and delicious. After lunch we headed back to PC for a swim. We had great fun splashing around for an hour or so.

We returned about 45 minutes before the parade. DD8 and I grabbed some curb while DS and DW went off to ride RnRC (since it is the most awesome ride EVER). As DD and I waited we chatted with a nice family from Montana. I think they were the first Montanans I had met. DW and DS arrived back just as the parade was beginning -talk about good timing. It was so sweet during the parade. We got extra attention from just about all the characters because of our bright red matching Incredible shirts. DS especially liked it when Darth Vader came over and loomed over him with hands on hips.

We then went to see the 6:15 Beauty and the Beast show -a first for us. I just loved Four for a Dollar. Those guys were great. I really liked how they started the show. The B&B show was good too. Next up was Star Tours. DS has become a major SW freak over the last several months, so this was another biggie for him. We bought some souvies as we exited. DS got one of thos small Darth Vader action figures and still sleeps with it every night -cute stuff. Then we did Muppets 3-D to round out the day. We are not all that into Fantasmic so we left some of that magic for others to enjoy as we went on back to PC. Supper consisted of frozen lemonade and giant pretzels (please do not report me to Child Social Services :teeth: ; we do not eat that way all the time)

Next up... Epcot

Love it! Glad you all had a great time. Love the shirt idea! Thanks for writing it for everyone.

Thanks for the report. Your family sounds adorable, not dorky!

Okay, I believe I'm up to date on your report and I'm really enjoying it. I just read the first 3 parts.:)

I can just picture a family of Incredibles posing with Mr. and Elastigirl!!!! Too funny! :rotfl: What a great souvenir. My son's new hero is Dash. He'll love seeing them.
Great report!

Great trip report - I like your writing style! :)

Your reports are great. I like the family t-shirt thing, although don't think mine would go for it.
