Wow, I can't believe the amount of sleep I AM NOT getting and we are only three weeks out!! This usually only happens the night before...>UGH

This trip planning began over a year ago. This is usually the case. We plan out about a year or so and book as soon as booking is available. It's been a trip full of changes but we finally have it nailed down. Better be nailed down since we are so close and it was almost like trying to nail jello to the wall!!!

I will get to our theme of Stitch and Elvis in a bit, but here is the start of my PTR.

We booked for the Dream and intended to take my daughter and her boyfriend at that point. His parents then decided they would like to cruise since they never had. I put a courtesy hold on my daughter's reservation but must have forgot to follow through...oops...but it all turned out completely different.

Our oldest and her now husband joined us for seven nights at SSR last June 2011 where he proceeded to propose at the Cinderella Castle at the Royal Table. It was awesome!!

With wedding planning in full swing, our extra money went to that since they wanted a March 2012 wedding.

Then, the Costa Concordia has its tragic accident and my son-in-law's parents cancelled. Poor C (his mom) was sick through the night thinking about that and the Titanic. She cancelled after she didn't sleep for four nights!! Prior to this, I tried retrieving the kids' reservation only to find they didn't have one at all. But, that worked perfect. They wanted to honeymoon ALONE for 7 nights in WDW.

Once we realized the kids weren't going and his parents cancelled, we decided to surprise my parents with a 4 night cruise with us on the DREAM. A year ago when we called them, they were really not at all excited and seemed distant from the idea; however, the closer we get, the more the excitement infects them!!

When my folks came down for the wedding, they were really excited to go. It was quite a transformation from their attitude a year ago. They must have talked about it on the way down to Georgia on their two day drive!!

...although it wouldn't seem like it in this picture...LOL!!!:lmao:

While visiting for the wedding, my favorite Aunt (my mom's oldest sister) had cruised with us before and we asked her to join us in our stateroom. She's always game for anything fun and needed a break from her hub-bub retirement that went awry when her 38 year old son and his three kiddos moved in after a nasty divorce!!!

She fell in love with DCL when we took her after just having coming off a 'another' cruise-her first ever- and was not impressed. She's not a drinker or gambler but went with her friend who had a conference to attend.

She was all smiles the entire time and loved Cinderella the most!! She was giddy like a child whenever she saw HRH!!!!

Meet Kitty!! This was a gift to my youngest daughter from my mom when she was only three. She loves cats and this particular one has been on every DCL trip we have taken. He is in the 'to go' box already, since my now 13 year old denies she sleeps with him still!!!!:rotfl2:

So, yesterday at work I had realized I hadn't made any magnets yet for our stateroom door or a poster board either. We are skipping FE's this time as it is time-consuming to deliver and rumor has it this ship is ENORMOUS!!! I want my parents to have full rein of the schedule and do whatever it is they want to do.

We are sitting at three weeks to embarkation and I can hardly stand it. I'm wearing my Elvis scrub top today for motivation. I did tell you I would tell you the idea of my theme later and I guess now is a good time.

We are all Elvis fans, although my husband is forced to listen and he does it so well. My youngest isn't willing to admit she is a fan, but one is born every day. pixiedust: Magic really does happen and she will admit some day. I was the same way.

So now you know that, know that I love the villains. I love all the characters of Disney, but the villains are just too good to be true. I figure if I'm going to believe in something that is too good to be true, it may as well be a fictional character....although I have known a few Cruella's in my day!!!:rotfl2: I'm sure you have too.

I love Stitch because he's a mixture of good and bad. He reminds me alot of myself. I'm a handful and ornery. I like to have fun and let loose once in awhile and I love to add a little magic of Disney to it.

So, we all know Lilo introduces Stitch to the King. I fell in love with the movie at that moment. I decided it would be fun to incorporate Elvis into our vacation since my mom and her sister are big fans....and me too.

They don't know this, but I plan to make my proposal the night they get here.

My folks are driving from 'no where' Nebraska to beautiful Georgia. They will be at our home to begin their vacation for a few nights and then we load up early to be Disney bound.

My aunt is flying into Orlando the day before we board the ship and we booked a room on Cocoa Beach. We get to board between 11 and 1130 and I am beyond thrilled since we usually get stuck with a later boarding time.

Our routine is to find our stateroom ASAP, unpack our day bags, change into swim gear, wear our covers and head to lunch. Then the pool. Then the muster. Then the Bon Voyage party!!!...but first, the Bahama Mama station!!!

Stay tuned for more.....
