Isn’t it ironic?
Just three days ago many of us were posting about our bitterness toward VMK. Well, look on the bright side everybody: VMK's management will no longer be able to cause suffering in many of our lives like they did with the Big Quest or through various events such as the Gingerbread competition.
As one of you commented recently: "No child should have to cry while playing a Disney game." and, sarcastically, “So Walt would have been proud that his name was all over a game that this past weekend was causing kids to cry?” Well, I think that will be taken care of with this decision. No more crying after March 21st!
Or this recent message directed at Yavn: "You sure are doing as much as you possibly can to make your loyal fanbase hate the game."
Guess what! No more game to hate! No more newsletter typos either, which were disappointing to many people.
The Boycott? Probably not necessary anymore either!
“I used information I have through my investments to also send a letter regarding the crappy way VMK treated the masses regarding this past weekends quest.” When they receive your letter, I think it will go into the “taken care of” folder.
And finally: “And yes technically, VMK is an awesome game. But most do not care technical parts they care about pixie dust, being in the Happiest Place on Earth. Which after VMK major events it one of the most unhappy places.” (emphasis mine)
I hate that people associated unhappiness with something that was a part of the Disney brand, and I think Disney hates it too after all the resources spent on making the Parks and Resorts magical. In this case Disney was not willing to invest resources to improve their services, so maybe this is all for the better. Now people can think of Disney as happy Parks and Resorts, not a disappointing game.
It's been fun, everybody, in a lot of ways, but I can't help but think that this is for the better.
