Can’t wait to hear about your cruise. I’m leaning the same way - managing with existing points and supplementing with a cruise or something else.

DH and I were talking about the Genie+ replacement last night and he wants to hold off on adding points until we see how this replacement affects our trip. I just mastered Genie+ with standby skipper during our last trip.
We just did our first cruise. It was an amazing 11 night European cruise but I sat down with the DVC Rep to just see the sales. I could tell he was bummed I was so focused on Poly. I finally was like, this cruise is was our next set of points. They were great reps on the cruise with lots of fun swag. We are already looking for another cruise. So yeah, points are on hold for us for a while.

Glad you enjoyed the cruise. What property was the guide pushing? If the guide was bummed you were so focused on Poly, do you think it’s an indication that sales of Poly are a bit far out?

They were pushing some deals on older properties but I can’t remember all of them. Not sure if he was pushing since it was far out or there was obviously no hope in me buying if it weren’t anything current.

Yes, that language has been there when you click that little “i” thingy on both resort pages. (I keep an:sail:on the Poly pages for changes / additions / etc)

So they are lumping together Deluxe Studios in Tower & Longhouses in that description without noting SLEEPS 4 or SLEEPS 5?
Guess they are waiting for Point Charts to differentiate? And so are we ⏰
Does this also confirm the Island Tower pool will be a shared resource for the hotel longhouses?

That image mentions "room types" - Duo, Studio, 1B, 2B, Bungalow.

There's further differentiation in booking categories by view type. Poly1 already has SV & LV for its Studios. The added Poly2 rooms will have IT's three view categories, so if you're looking at a "Studio" there will probably be five different view categories - e.g. Longhouse Standard View, Longhouse Lake View, Tower Standard View, Tower Preferred View, Tower Theme Park View.

While we wait for the new Tower point charts - is it reasonable to use BLT and even VGF with similar room types (e.g. deluxe studio, theme park view at BLT is 23 points on a Saturday night in September) as a rough starting point for the point chart at the new tower rooms?
BLT charts are lower than polynesian. I think a better estimate would be based on VGF which is nearly identical on studio lake view and standard categories.

What is the delay between a filing and when the comptroller site publishes documents?
Unless someone with direct knowledge of the comptroller or Disney filing dates, I'm not sure we know the answer.

Riviera makes me think it takes just a couple/few days. However, many things can happen. Paperwork gets temporarily lost, someone gets sick, someone has a child so the comptroller could be understaffed, holidays, etc. Just from my memories of tracking actual sales data many years ago, I would see periods where gaps happened and I could never tell why. At one point, I tracked the signing dates for the deeds and the dates they showed up on the county website. The worst one I recall was a 6 month delay from the date the person signed until the date it showed up on the comptroller website.

Here is an example of Riviera. The Master Declaration "First Amendment" shows a date of October 4, 2019 was written in. That appears to be the date everyone signed off on it. The document showed up on the comptroller website on October 7, 2019. From that date forward, I believe all future declarations showed the "First Amendment" with a date of October 7, 2019.

Any news yet about when the new tower will begin selling?
(This thread had a lot of random discussions I was scrolling through but didn't see anything)

I feel like if it's opening in December, maybe disney is just going to let cash reservations happen for a while before allowing points to be sold? We're already under 7-months from when building is slated to open.

There hasn't been any news I've seen yet. I think the cabins went on sale about 4 months before the opening. So within the next month is what I'm planning for.
