Is WDW a coke or pepsi place?

My only complaint about WDW - is that there is NO diet Mountain Dew! I usually end up bringing a 12 pack & leaving it in the room. I'm SO addicted to it! Well, the pina coladas are a good substitute while in the World!

That's wrong. Dr. Pepper is its own brand made by Cadbury Schweppes Americas Beverages.

You can get Pibb Xtra in most restaurants at Disney.
Well in Canada Dr Pepper is made by Pepsi and is always sold with Pepsi products. So that is why I said it is made by Pepsi.

LOL :) They should really serve both. That would solve all the problems!!!

i didn't see it answered, so, yes, mello yello is also available at some locations. moreso than pibb xtra i'd say.

dr. pepper & 7up are often bottled and distributed by PepsiCo, but technically are not Pepsi products. so that's part of that issue. cadbury schweppes actually only owns the brands in the US. outside the US, Pepsi owns 7up and dr pepper is owned by all sorts of companies depending on the country. reportedly mostly coke, although cadbury canada owns it in canada. all that said, it's quite possible that in either the US or Canada, Pepsi is bottling and distributing it on behalf of Cadbury.

actually, since pepsi introduced sierra mist, some of its major bottling plants even dropped 7up.

Additionally there are markets that are historically Coke markets and those that are Pepsi markets. Every tried to find a Pepsi in Atlanta.

Several years ago, I was in a Pizza Hut in Atlanta standing in line to pick up some take out. The guy in front of me was placing an order and he asked for Pepsi. The cashier gave him a funny look and in a genuine GA drawl said "You do know what city you're in?"

I was kind of amused since Pizza Hut was owned by Pepsi.

I couldn't agree more.:goodvibes We went in 03 and I thought I was going to die after 7 days with no diet dew:lmao: This time I am bringing some. at least 1 per day.

I hate Coke products, although I am getting use to Mello Yello...do they serve Mello Yello? A week of Mello Yello at the parks...:guilty: :sad1:

All the resturants in our area have gone to Coke but a few. I think it is because Coke bids cheaper. Pepsi needs to get with it!!!!

Actually, Pepsi gives resturaunts use of their machines for free or at a very low cost if you use their product. Coke charges for thier fountain machines.

Thats why the finer places serve the real thing!

Just FYI: It's not "made by Pepsi". It's distributed by (and MAYBE bottled by) Pepsi. It's made (and marketed) by Cadbury Schwepps. Cadbury Schwepps licensed the Canadian Distribution rights to Pepsi.

In the states, who distributes it varies by region. In some US regions it's distributed by Pepsi, and in others by Coke, in a others by an independant distributor, and more and more by Cadbury Schwepps themselves. Note that Pepsi and Coke have both undertaken recent efforts to DROP Dr. Pepper contracts, and more and more the efforts are being taken up by the Cadbury Schwepps Bottling Group.

Just an interesting aside: There are still a handful of bottling plants (all Cadbury Schwepps plants, I think) who refused to switch to High Fructose Corn Syrup and still make Dr Pepper with cane sugar. The Dublin, Texas plant is the most famous (and the largest producer).

I have only seen Mr. Pibb at Downtown in a few places I think and Contempary.

I am a huge Mr. Pibb fan (can't get it in New England) and I have filled my refillable mug with it at places like Beach Club and Animal Kingdom Lodge, too. Hope Saratoga Springs has it!
