Just planning this out with a family of 5 - are the "cars" for two people? Can I go with DD's 6 & 4 (even if I don't get to "play" which is fine) or is it strictly just two people? If so, I believe that my 8 yo can take the 6 yo and then DH can take DD-4 correct (the age to ride alone is 7???). How does it work for single riders? The world was not built for families of 5 :) It's amazing how we sweat every little detail!!

Personally, I would put one of the younger children with your DH and the other one with you. I would then let the 8 year old ride in the following vehicle. You would catch up with the 8 year old at the end of the ride.

Does he ride on his own or will they put someone else in the car with him?

I rode TSSM 3 times last Nov. as a solo and I don't recall them ever putting any one else with me.

We are a family of five and rode in two cars. Dd(14) and Dh rode in one car and I rode in the second with dd (7) and dd(4). Dd(4) and I shared the shooting. We fit with no problems and no one rode alone.

This is exactly what I would do as well. Under 7 has to ride with someone 14 or older. Solo riders are not paired up. This is an extremely fun attraction and not fun at all IMO to simply be a bystander.

Agree with this. We are a party of 3 and someone always has to ride alone. We however usually do it twice so that my DH and I have a chance to try and kick my DD's butt, doesn't usually happen though, she always wins. :rotfl:

The CMs say 2 per row or a small three. I don't think OP will fit with both kids.

I always ride solo and I can count on one hand the number of times I was put with someone else. One time, I noticed that I was put with a small boy whose family was in the next row. I mentioned it to them and they immediately switched out one of the parents into my row. I didn't take it personally (I know I don't look like an ax murderer), but if I had a child I would not be allowing a stranger to sit next to him in a dark ride where I could not get to him if something inappropriate occurred.

I too can count the number of times one of us have been placed with anyone else. Exactly twice? Once I was solo and placed with a little boy about 9 y/o. I'm a grandmother of seven, so guess I looked safe.:confused3 The parents didn't seem to have a problem with it. Then when we were down there last week, we were with my mom who uses an ECV, so had to go through the handicap line. They only had two handicap cars online and a bunch of handicapped people waiting back there, so asked if we'd mind if one of us rode with another party of three, in order to make that line go a little faster. My mom and I were in the true handicapped car (no seats on the back side), then a man and his son rode in the car behind us, while my husband rode in the seats behind them with his wife. While we were all waiting for the cars to show up, we all laughed that it was a good thing none of the spouses were the jealous type.:rotfl:
