Is Touring Plans worth it this close to my trip?

I will be going in December 2016. I will be ordering Touring plans just before we leave. I used it last trip and it was great we did/seen everything we wanted to, however we felt rushed pressured because we planned to do so much. This trip is more relaxed and will mainly use Touring plans just to check off attractions we have deemed a must see/do and help us from running the marathon back and forth the parks as we'll make just a quick general plan, but not over pack the trip this time. Plus we have 7 full days to see and do things at a slower pace.
I fully feel the price is well worth it.

We too are going in December and have made plans for each day of our trip. The plans do help in selecting FP times, so I think if you are going to order it anyway, you should do so now before your FP window opens.

We've used Touring Plans in the past. On our last trip to Disneyland the expected wait times during EMH morning was a bit more than the actual wait, but better more than less. Other wait time estimates during the day were pretty accurate. Just today my FP reservation window opened and I made FP reservations through December 22nd based on TP.

Another benefit to TP (besides what pps have mentioned) that I keep falling into is that it alerts me to changes I wasn't expecting or checking on. If you Evaluate any custom plans you make it'll warn you that Universal switched the early entry park for your trip (not like that happened, um, yesterday for our Nov 4th trip or anything ). It also warned me when previously planned rides went on the refurb list at Disney. Handy tool, TP. Definitely worth it in my book.

I guess I am in the minority here. I had TP when we went and I hated it and I am an uber planner. I agree it did help me get a general sense of what I wanted to do but using it in the parks and juggling 2 small kids plus a husband wasn't a fun time for me. I am a pretty fast walker and the times they had us getting to each ride were way off. Crowd size was way off as well. With all the other free information on the web and google, I wouldn't waste my money on it.

if your an obessive , like me....then YES! worth every penny....

Its a wealth of knowledge. Just for show times and entertainment lists all in one easy to see place!!!!

The wait times is a bonus....just be sure to use the app to report your waits as well.....it helps everyone.
