my planner told me that escape brides are only allowed a maximum of 25 people at the DP. That seems kind of not fair since I am paying per person, if I want more I think I should be able to have more. I was wondering if anyone else was told this.

This seems to depend on who you talk to. Before they raised the number of people you can have at an Escape wedding, some were told they could have only 20 people at the dessert party. But I have occasionally heard about couples who have held a small Escape wedding and invited more people to the dessert party. I can see why Disney doesn't want to allow this, though, because it allows you to skirt the Escape Collection guest limit and have a Wishes-sized DP when they'd much rather you upgrade to a Wishes wedding.

For a flat fee of $500 you can now have between 19 and 23 guests (plus you two = 25 people total). It doesn't matter how many over 18 - even if you just have one more person (putting you at 19 guests) you pay the $500.

This is awesome! We were interested in and escape wedding but were going to have too many people. Now we can easily have the wedding we want, with the people we want there at a much more affordable price!!!

Correct - you can have 19-23 guests (plus the bride and groom = 25 people max) at the wedding if you pay a flat $500 fee on top of the package price.

OOOOHHHHHHH! This is VERY exciting news!!!!! Does anyone know if the increase in guest limit for escapes includes Sunset Pointe? That would really make my day!

Also I don't understand how Disney could limit DP size for Escape brides... can't anyone have a DP... even if you're not having a wedding???? I thought people had these for family get togethers, birthdays, anniversaries? Maybe I was mistaken?
