So if I am on the dining plan then tips are included.

But if I order something NOT on the dining plan they add the tip automatically?

We found that it varied with party size. If we had 8 or more in our party, gratuity is automatically added, dining plan or no dining plan.

When we were there just over a month ago, they never added the tip to anything we ordered separately. We always did that ourselves.

I'd recommend looking closely at the each bill to make sure. Maybe it varies by restaurant??

If you are on the dining plan then anything you get, even something not on the dining plan, the tip is included.

There are always exceptions to the rule so the best bet is to check the receipts.

seemed like when we were on the dining plan, anything we ordered out of the plan we got a separate check for it. That separate check the tip is not included - it looks like any regular dining receipt.
