Is it possible to make the LMA extreme stunt show at 4:30 then Indiana Jones at 5:15 and then our Mama Melrose ADR at 5:55? It seems like we would be cutting it really close but I don't know how early we need to be there for the ADR? According to touring plans this would put me at the ADR right at 5:55. Following the dinner we have FP+ 6:30-7:30 and 7:30-8:30.
All input is welcome.

You have an ADR at 5:55 and you want to be out of there by 6:30 for a FP+? No way Jose. You won't make it at all.

Lights Motors Action takes 35 minutes for the show, and probably a solid 10 more minutes to get out of the stadium. There are thousands of people packed in there, and they all have to work their way down just a couple of flights of stairs. The show isn't getting over until 5:05, plus 10 minutes to get out of the stadium, it is already 5:15. Add another 5 minutes to walk (at a brisk pace) over to Indy, and it is 5:20 Indy starts at 5:15, and you need to be in line for that at least 15 minutes ahead of time, since that show does fill up, so to see the 5:15 show you would want to be in line no later than 5:00, so no way are you making that.

Indy is 30 minutes, so the show won't be over until 5:45. By the time you get out of the stadium and walk over to Mama Melrose' you MIGHT make it there at 5:55, but you SHOULD be 20 minutes early for your ADR. Now, truth of the matter is that they will very likely go ahead and seat you, but it will probably be later than you are expecting, more like 6:05 - 6:15 before you are seated.

I always allow an hour and a half for table service meals, and I've never regretted leaving that time in my schedule. Figure on getting back to touring at around 7:30 - 7:45 which makes that first FP+ after dinner very questionable. I think you need to space things out more. Even if you manage to make some of this work, you are going to be in such a time crunch, heaven forbid someone needs to use the bathroom :lmao:

This is exactly what I came up with.

If you drop Indiana Jones you'll be able to make the rest work.

Sssslllllooooowwww down, it's a holiday.

Sorry have to agree with the above, drop Indiana

Thank you all. I thought it looked very close. I will use my t.p. without the Indiana ride. I have been trying to figure out how to move that 6:30-7:30 fp for star tours but I haven't found another spot in our day yet so we may miss that as well. Thanks again.

There is a 20 minute late window, so I think they will be fine getting to their FP.

The closer I get to the trip the more I question things. If any of you use touring plans, how accurate are they as far as timing? It was saying I could make the stunt show, Indiana, and Mama melrose (mind you this was with the slowest walking pace chosen and 0 free time). Most of my plans are like that with everything back to back and little to no free time shown on the plans. I just want to know if these are doable or if I should expect to totally rework the plan once I get to the park.

Good point, I forgot all about the late window. However, for clarity's sake, I believe it is 15 minutes, not 20. Either way, as long as you aren't really slow eaters, that should give you enough time to make that FP after dinner.

As for the touring plan in general . . . I don't know where your plan came from, but it sounds kind of like a custom plan from Ride Max, which I've used quite a few times.

With Ride Max, I found that their plans are pretty aggressive, especially in the morning, and I almost always have a hard time really keeping up with them. When I make the plans, I make certain that I have arranged things enough to allow for some free time in between attractions. They do not factor in things like crowds getting in the way of you jogging across the park, unexpected downpours causing you to spend time putting on ponchos, someone needing a bathroom break, or a drink, or taking a picture.

My advice is make a second set of plans with a few less things planned in them so that there is a bit more free time. When you go to the parks, take both plans with you. Start trying to follow the more aggressive plan. If / when it doesn't work for you, switch to the lighter plan, or just be comfortable with the idea of dropping things from your plan as you go. Plan ahead of time which things you are willing to sacrifice, and if time starts to look like an issue, just drop the next thing you are willing to sacrifice out of the plan to make more time.

Because of things like this, it took us 6 trips to Disney before we finally got to ride Kali River Rapids.

Its an agressive plan I LIKE TO SEE THAT LOL:lmao:

But seriously what you need to do is talk to your travel group and decide what is a must do? What can i drop? What can i move?

If FP+ at Star Tours is a must keep then you would want to be at dinner a little earlier then the ADR time and just IMHO i couldnt do ST after a meal especially after Italian OOFAAAAAA

Good Luck though and still like the agressiveness NICE

I think the only really weakness of touring plans is the time they allow for you to get to shows. You need to be in line for Indy 20 to 30 minutes before the show; you can't just just saunter up 3 minutes before it starts.

Yes, absolutely agreed. We didn't quite comprehend that our first trip, and missed Indy as a result.

Next time around I knew that, and used Ride Max to set up a plan that allowed for me to be in line for Indy 20 minutes early.

Sometimes with Ride Max, I find that my plans come out better if I do the morning, and afternoon as two separate plans.

Mama Melrose will not take 90 minutes. Go directly there after LMA and sign in (in our experience Mama Melrose is almost always a place you can walk in). You will be done well in advance of your ST ride. I would say after you are sat 60 minutes absolute max there.

This is interesting since every time we've done MM, we've had to wait at least 20 min AFTER our ADR time. And, yes, we always check in 15-20 min before ADR.

That is interesting. We eat there often with no ADR because we don't care for any of the QS at DHS.

Mama Melrose is our go to walk up over there.

We even recently were one of maybe 10 families in the whole place.

This is SUPER aggressive

THere is no way you are gonna do the following unless the MK is completely EMPTY
From 12:38
Peter Pans Flight
Haunted Mansion
Small World and be at Ariel's Grotto at 2:26 with out FP for the 3 previous
The wait for PPF can be 50-75 minutes on a slow day, i never understood why becasue the ride is about 1 minute 19 sec but we all love it
Your FP+ selections are all great and necessary
I do not think CRT or Plaza will be 90 minutes each

Ok, thanks. I was planning on skipping Peter pan if the wait was longer than touring plans said (31 minutes at that time) since, as you said, it always has a long wait. I am hoping that the meals wont be 90 minutes each but I thought I would schedule in the extra time just to be safe.
I have not been to WDW in 13 years, and my parents never had a touring plan and we had fun. I don't know if it was necessary back then. This is all new to me but It sounds like I am on the right path. I am now more realistic about my super aggressive plan. Thank you!!!!!!!!!!:worship:
