Is this possible - 2 different rooms for the same people?

We'll be in WDW for 2 weeks in March/April 2014. We wanted to try out Vero Beach for a couple of days in the middle of the trip.

But, because we'll have groceries and a ton of luggage(there are 5 of us), we don't really want to check out and pack everything for 2 days and then start the process again going back to WDW.

So I was thinking and I would like to keep our WDW reservation for the 2 weeks and also add a 1 night reservation at Vero at the same time. We could leave our food/stuff in the room at VGF and only pack a small 1 night bag to go to Vero.

Just want to make sure I can do this and that it won't break any rules.

We have done something similar in the past. We had to have my name as the lead person on one reservation and DH's name as lead on the other. Lately people have reported that having different names is no longer necessary. I think your plan sounds terrific. Have fun!

I was told by a CM just a few months ago under the same name put me at risk that DVC would cancel one of the two reservations. I was holding multiples just til I could get a last-minute trip in place. None of my reservations actually WERE canceled, though, so I don't know if there is any truth to it.

We did that in April. Went to Vero for 2 nights and kept our room at SSR. We were told to put the other guests name as the lead to avoid any confusion. We had no problems and would not hesitate to do it again.

But, often, it doesn't matter who you tell DVC to put as the lead, because for some reason, the lead you want isn't the one you get. For example, I have made the reservations for our last three trips. So I was the lead. But when we got there, my husband was the lead once, my son the next and we'll just wait and see what happens for the next trip.

We currently have our names on more than one reservation at 2 different resorts during the same dates.

This thread triggered a related question I've been thinking about. On our next WDW trip we will reserve both a 2BR and a separate studio at BWV to accomodate our larger group. Can I have access to both rooms? Ideally I'd like one KTTW card with access to both rooms. Alternatively, could I get two KTTW cards, one for each room? I'm not looking to get any special priveleges or circumvent any rules, I'd just like access to both rooms that I'm paying for. Can this be done without any unintended negative consequences?

This. We have two reservations for December as we are bringing relatives with us and staying in two rooms. So, one is in my name and one is in my husband's name.

This happened to us. When I made the two reservations noted above, I had to waitlist some days. Both reservations were in my name at the time. Even though I clicked "do not cancel," when I wait listed, they cancelled our one reservation. Because of this, we are now booked at two resorts as the cancelled one was BCV and I didn't think at that point I'd be able to get all nights needed.
