I was mistaken.

My 1st beagle didn't shed nearly as much as this one does My DH thinks we just got a lemon. LOL Whatever could go wrong with a dog does.

I can't complain about my beagle, though. she was a sweetie. when my now-13-year-old was learning to walk, she'd pull herself to a standing position by grabbing onto the doggie's ears. the dog always let her do this and never once let out a whimper.

my maxi is a golden retriever and he isnt shedding much now either...i think it has to do with the seasons...i believe he dumped most of his winter coat already on my carpet and now he is nice and fresh with his spring coat...i wouldnt worry much unless your lab starts to look like a golden

Our first Weim drooled terribly, there'd be a puddle under him after we got done eating any meal! And he was so sloppy when he drank water, oh my goodness! But he was such a sweetheart. I still miss him.

The Weim we have now is so different in personality and eating habits, he is much more neater and doesn't drool at all!
