Is This New Incentive?

To get this deal do we have to buy it as a 100 block or can we buy 2-50 point add ons?
Also does anyone know Disney's financing terms (length and rate) we will put down 15% on the Disney Visa.
We want to add on and would love to try a cruise. I have been searching resales for over 6 months without finding anything we want.

I don't know the terms of the cruise right now, but this email is interesting where they describe the terms.

Disney Cruise offer requires Members to purchase an Add On equal to 100 or more Vacation Points and, if financing, make monthly loan installments and be in good standing on their Add On for up to 14 months (based on down payment and length of loan) before sailing. Members are not entitled to the cruise until all necessary payments are made and failure to make all payments and fees will result in forfeiture of the cruise. Offer includes one (1) Deluxe Oceanview Stateroom for up to four (4) people for a 3-night Disney Cruise Line® cruise on one (1) select sailing date beginning September 2, 2010, through December 16, 2010.

I have heard that Disney is allowing the split contracts and still qualifying it for the higher level incentives.

So, I think you can get 2 50 point contracts and qualify for the 100 point incentives.

Disney's rate for financing right now is 10.75% (preferred rate with direct deposit) and 14.25%(standard with direct debit). Length can be 5 or 10 years.

And, you will be getting 6 months, interest free on the money you put on the Disney Visa.

Good luck!!

If they allow two different contracts, that would be sweet!:surfweb:

I just mailed my paper work for a add on purchase of 50 points. I was told I could not split contracts (25 & 25) which was a bit disappointing. But I am still happy about my new points.

Please refresh my memory on the 6 months interest free on the Disney Visa. We have a Disney Visa as the only credit card we use and put all purchases on it for the points. We pay it off in full monthly. Is it true that the DVC purchase would be paid first when we pay our monthly bill? In other words, to continue to use the Disney Visa and pay no interest charges on the other purchases, would we have to pay off the DVC purchase the first month and thus lose the interest free benefit?

I split my 125 point VGC purchase into 2 contracts and got the incentives, so it should work for you.

I use my Disney Visa for all my purchases as well. With the DVC purchases, they are truly interest free for 6 months.

When I get my statement (I do it online), I just pay off all current charges and then 1/6 of the Disney balance. I am on month 3 now and no finance charges on any of it.

I agree it would not be much of a benefit if you had to stop using the card to get it interest free. Just make sure you don't make your payments of current charges before the statement closes---if you do that, then they apply it to the Disney charges first.

I put the entire cost of my 130 point add on at BLT on the cards (I have two) and so far, everything is interest free. I wasn't expecting it on more than $2500, but they qualified it all so I am taking advantage of it.

Matter of fact, I am adding on another 50 points and am hoping that those charges will also be interest free. It is nice not having to part with all the money for 6 months.

Good luck!

I receive one from my guide, also. I believe for 100 points it is the discount PLUS the cruise.

I just added on 100 more points at BLT!!!!

Spoke to my guide and since I received a 3 day cruise as a bonus when I initially bought I was not eligible this time, so they automatically applied that discount on top of the 800$

I'm at 260 points now...can't see myself needed anymore for a few years

I never get email from my guide. I never find out anything in a timely manner. I am getting sick of this. I bought a ton of points from him and feel neglected. What am I to do? How do I change? It is an awkward situation. He has been my guide since 1992, 17 years with him.

The email came from Disneyvacation Club or something - not directly from my guide. Of course, it says to contact my guide and her name if I was interested.

Are you signed up for emails? Do you ever get any emails from the Disneycation Club? I know there is also somewhere on the dvc memer site where we can sign up for emails.

Does anyone get emails directly from his/her guide?? These last few posts seem to indicate that... and I have NEVER gotten them. The only emails we get are from dvcmember.com. I am kind of unhappy with my guide right now and something like this might cause me to request a reassignment. A friend from work recently went to the World and inquired about DVC- he and his wife were really excited about it when they got home. They called DVC when they got home and were told they would get a package that week; it has been 3 weeks and they haven't gotten anything. They were also told to expect a call from their guide (I am assuming it is my guide because they used my name) and have not received a call. I got my guide because I was referred by my uncle who has been a member forever and I think he is semi-retired. I was always under the impression that the guide sells you the product and that is pretty much it; if there is usually more interaction occurring after the sale, I am interested in knowing about it. :confused3

My email was a sales email sent from DVC...and it was 'signed' by my guide.
I think there are some rules about emailing, so if I get one directly from my guide it is just to say 'call me' when responding to emails I send him. But, yes, guide is a fancy word for salesperson, so I wouldn't expect any contact unless I'm inquiring about buying.
