Do you consider a family member trying to catch up to the rest of his/her family ahead in line cutting?

The only possible exception is that an adult had to take a child out of the line to go to the toilet, making sure that those they pass know they will be back.

Adults needing to go to the toilet? Surely you knew before getting in line?

Yes. Everyone should enter the line at the same time if they want to ride together.

Yes. Everyone should enter the line together. If someone has to leave for a potty emergency, most people will understand. But enter the line as a group. No pushing past to catch up with the rest of the family.

I think it depends. If you are talking about a group of adults, then you should not do it. If a child needs to go to the restroom, and one parent takes the child while the other parent goes ahead and gets in line, then that doesn't bother me at all.

NO I don't consider it cutting in line... My family was in line to ride SM and my mother stayed behind with 2 of our kids. After being in line for about 20 minutes I get a text saying that my son decided to he wants ride. So I left the line ( jumped over to FP and walked out). Then I meet him and went all the way back through and cought up to our group, which was almost about to get on the ride. I decided to give him my spot on the ride so no one would be upset about us cutting in line.

Yes! It is cutting in line. Little bladders should use the bathroom before getting into long lines. After countless trips with young children, my family has never cut the line to meet up with each other.

this thread will probably get closed by a moderator before we know. which is a shame especially if the OP question is sincere..which i think is the case considering the low number of posts they have.

that being said the answer to your ? is it is line cutting.

If you have a young child try to ensure they go to the bathroom before you get on line. Especially if you are getting into a cue with a serious wait time. While emergencies do come up its better to be safe than sorry.

I agree with others. But in regards to letting others know if you are coming back, well, that may or may not work. While in line for Soarin', the line was SO long and a wide line as well, that people were constantly going both directions past us. I couldn't believe the travel up and down the line. I didn't know who was legit or not, so I just decided to not let it bother me. We'd get our turn eventually.

The over/under line on this thread being closed has been set at 7. Place your bets!

Not really, no, but most of the people on here are going to say yes. Unfortunately for them, about all they're going to get out of it is aggravation when people do this while they are in line. For the most part, it isn't going to affect the people "line cutting", as there are almost always places throughout the line where they can go around those that try to prevent them (I know there are going to be those that come on here and talk about how they would block them from going around, but in reality that is only going to work for a few minutes, eventually there will be a place where they can just duck under the rope/chain and go around you anyway).

Funny thing, though, is that many people on here will also say that their family will have to wait for them at the loading dock. Of course, that generally ends up causing delays for everyone in line because the family in question is now in the damned way. IMO, it's just better to let them join their family and not let it bother you.

It should also be said that Disney allows line cutting.

There are places that will toss you out for cutting, but Disney practically encourages it.

If you want to cut, there is absolutely NOTHING to stop you. Have at it. People do it all the time.
