9/1 our flight lands at 7:10pm.
staying at POR
have ADR's for Boatwright's Dining Hall at 9:15pm.

too close or will we make it from plane to ADR?

btw its 2 adults.

I'd say you'd probably be fine since it's the hotel you're staying at so you don't need to worry about going anywhere else. but I don't know that I would personally do it. You never know what could happen on the magical express - how many other stops or if you need to wait for a second bus.

Yep. A little too close. But just so you know Boatwrights will not need a ressie that time of night. Its empty then.

I would not book an ADR that close. It would make me too nervous that we would be late and I do not like to begin a trip under any stress. I would either try to walk in or do CS that night.

if there's still availability the day before we may cancel and just do walk up but as of now i've changed the ADR to 9:45pm.

do you think thats better?

You are assuming your flight is on time. I never book anything non refundable on arrival day. Too stressful for me

knock on wood i have never had a flight delayed on the way from BUF to MCO.
i've had them delayed on the way back several times.
we figure its only 2 of us so $10 each while annoying is not going to break us if we do end up missing our ADR.

I think you're fine almost three hours and God forbid something happen with just the two of you its $20. Not bad in the grand scheme of Disney,

Landing at 7:10 and an ADR at 9:15 is a whole lot closer to 2 hours than it is 3 hours. And for me, I wouldn't miss the $20 if something were to happen, but I also don't make a habit of just dropping $20 bills and saying I won't miss them, even if I'm dropping them at the feet of Mickey. :goodvibes

To the OP, I wouldn't do it, it's not worth the stress of worrying about it. I'm also sure you will have no problem being able to get into Boatwrights as a walk up at that time as well.

If your flights are delayed, call the restaurant and I'd pretty much guarantee that they won't charge you...Disney is pretty accommodating in situations like that. Or if did change to 9:45pm, personally I'd keep it and then walk up when you get to the restaurant and ask if there is room to eat earlier.

I would say in many (and perhaps even most) cases this would be true. However a few years ago the monorail system was shut down due to a problem and we had to take a bus over to the Poly for our ADR at Ohana; we were about 30 minutes late and were told, sorry.... Cha Ching $10 a pop for a party of 4 for missing an ADR... After that I just don't play Russian Roulette when it comes to ADR's; I just assume now they mean show up about 15 minutes early, or at the worst right on time. I should say that a call to guest services when we got back home took care of the situation and we were credited the charges on my card though.

***EDIT*** Being that Jgeauxmo has brought it to my attention the OP has moved her ADR back to 9:45, I do think she will be fine. :)

She moved the ADR back to 945 so we ll call it two And a half hours. Is that Better?

You cannot guarantee what the restaurant will do based on your experience. So many decisions are based on a CM discretion that if your experience may be good luck for you but if mimicked by me may the opposite.

You don't say if you are using MDE or renting a car. I would worry a little bit about the timing with MDE (although 9:45 is not too bad and should be doable). With a rental, I would say no problem at all. And since you are okay with accepting the penalty if the flight is delayed, then for sure keep the 9:45 and pretty good chance you'll make it just fine.

You might be okay, but I personally wouldn't cut it that close.

I think both the old time and the new time are cutting it too close, especially if you have to get luggage or are using MDE. If you have only carry ons and are grabbing a car it might be ok. However I agree with others that I would cancel the reservation and just walk up at that time.

we are using DME.
we will not need to get luggage.
i have never stayed at POR but i can say that at other resorts i have stayed at i have gone from plane to resort each time in less than 1hr20mins which is why i figured i could do the 9:15pm.
now that i switched it to 9:45pm i'm really not concerned about making it.
