Is this a problem

We really dont know what to do as the seats that virgin holiday have allocated have now sold. Im not sure if to risk it and add her at check in or just leave it

I can't help, but we are possibly going to do this too.

We have All Stars booked via Virgin. My brother may want to come nearer the time. We were planning on getting him a flight, tickets will be seperate from our KTTW card & we don't have DDP. Only sticking point was transfers? Would I be able to book him on the ME with us?

As someone else suggested - I would contact OKW directly.

On the phone Dis & VH are restricted by what they can do - but once at the resort they are much more acommodating - you don't need to give your details to ask the question.

Plus if you explain to the resort that you have lost FIL and bringing MIL was last minute I am sure they would work their magic.... nothing to lose by giving it a try.

one thing comes to mind is esta, you have to have first night down for it.
others have stated that it doesn't matter if you have had an esta in past and no kneed to update,
But when we went in Aug they were quite keen on all info being up to date at both ends

We have done something similar - have bought a flight only with Virgin for eldest daughters b/f. Have phoned up CSR and they said i could add him to room when we get there for $15 per night (think this might be + tax). He will have to buy his own food cause we got free dining. It is $25 a night whilst we stay at the HRH and again they said it was ok to add at check -in. As i am a worrier i would have rather got all this in writing but i have phoned twice now and both times was told the same thing. Dont know whether they will be able to add his Disney ticket to the room key as they do when you travel with Virgin :thumbsup2

have just seen the question about transport from airport to hotel ...we never get Virgin transport anyway, always book a limo so that side of it is sorted.

I dont think you will have a problem if you just add her at check-in but I expect you willl have to pay as you go for her meals. We added my son's friend to our room for a 1 night sleepover last year (his family were off-site in a villa) and as long as the numbers are ok for the room there should be no problem.

If you are staying at OKW in a studio you will have 2 queen beds. So that should not be a problem bringing her along. And studios do not have couches so there won't be a pull out bed to sleep on.

No, you only need an address for the API which will be OKW.
The ESTA does not require any address, that detail is purely optional. What you don't put on in the first place you don't then need to update.

Personally i wpuld do whatever is cheapest for you. Disney will not know there is an extra person in the room and your dds key to the world cards will open the door so she could always use one of these if she needs to go back to resort without you and then you and oh still have yours on you with the tickets etc. I would probably ohone disney and explain the situation in a "i am thinking of adding mil on as a room only when we arrive but nothing is confirmed" and then see what they say, if they say you can do it then get them to add a note to your booking, if they say you cant then book the flights and tickets and dont tell them.

Hi, not sure if this helps as it relates to our Virgin holiday back in 2008, but my mum decided to come with us about a month or so before we flew. She booked a flight directly with Virgin Atlantic and then I rang Virgin holidays to say that she would also be staying in our rooms (we had a room at the poly and at the Hard Rock hotel) and as both accomodations slept five they just added a note to our booking with my mum's name to show that she was also staying in our room. No problems at all when we arrived and her name was on the booking so it all felt (and was) legit!!

We didn't have DDP or anything so perhaps that was why it was so easy, but we didn't have any complications at all.

Hope that helps a little!!:thumbsup2
