You got a great deal! Especially if you get to use the 2002 points. We bought a 300 OKW contract (Dec UY) late last Spring, with all 2001, 2002, and upcoming 2003 pts available. Paid $70 per point. Just like you we got two years' points dues-free.
We were lucky enough to rent out the 'extra' points (if there is such a thing as 'extra' points, LOL). Anyway, IMHO you HAVE to give some kind of value to the banked points vs a resale with current UY points only. In our situation, given our $9 per point rental on 2 years worth of points, we feel we paid closer to $52 per point vs someone paying $70 per point with no prior year or banked points available.
Disney did not exercise ROFR on our contract, at a time when they were being pretty aggressive in buybacks last year. At $71, I think you can be confident they'll pass on yours as well. As far as the closing date, if you get a fast reply from Disney, you may close in much less time than 8 weeks, especially if you and the seller get the paperwork executed and back to the closing agent in a timely fashion.
Anyway, WELCOME HOME !! (albeit a little early, but you should have no problem).
Brian.
