I was there last month in a lagoon view (Bocca Chica) and with the room discount we paid $540 per night.

I think it's a good price for November. We could have stayed at the GF for our trip last week for $470 pre taxes a night with our passholder discount. We ended up spending $1600 for 7 nights at the Dolphin. Sometimes you just have to go with the deal.

The boys are 12, 10, & 10. I think I am going to do it. You only turn 50 once and how cool that it is also WDW's 50th! Since this would be a special occasion trip and so close to Thanksgiving I thought it should be more of an upscale trip and I don't think it gets any more posh than the Grand Floridian! Getting excited!!

PS: But good lord, 2 Disney trips on 1 credit card month...

I would do it. Right off the bat you’d not get DME from MCO with Swolphin so that pushes savings further with Grand Floridian.

MK is celebrating the 50th and you will have front row in GF. They’ve been working on the entire monorail area in prep. Poly and CR will be completed this summer. WDW is going the extra mile to make the celebration special as possible and you’ll be right in the thick of it. Enjoy!!!!

Just wanted to update the post, I pulled the trigger and we will be at the GF Nov 20-24 celebrating DH's 50th birthday! Not only that, his parents who were just there with us in June, are also coming although they will likely stay in the Dolphin. Since I booked airfare went up $400 and I'm patting myself on the back for "saving" money on our 3rd Disney trip in one year during the first and only time annual passes aren't available. #PartOfTheProblem, #YOLO, #Blessed
