Is this a difference of Room only vs Package?

Trying to make this quick...

I've booked FD (and possibly other deals - can't remember) over blackout periods and as long as we checked in before the blackout dates, we got the deal for length of stay.

I now have a 20/30/40 room only PIN and it seems that I can't get the discount for blackout days even if they're in the middle of my trip.

Is this correct?

Is this new?

Is this the difference between a RO and package discount?

Is this the dif. between a PIN and a gp or disney visa discount?

Something else?


Thanks! I now have a middle schooler and I really don't want her to miss too much school and my DH works a lot in summer, so I'm left with nothing but blackout dates!!!!

I believe the % off room codes are ONLY good for the days that aren't blacked out. If part of your stay is during the blackout days then you will have to pay full price/rack rate for the room on those nights.

I believe this poster is correct. Disney has become firmer on the blackout dates.
