As not staying in a Disney resort hotel or buying a multiday ticket, we won't benefit from the new Fast Pass+ :sad2:
Can we still run to our favourite attraction and get a Fast Pass on the day? :confused3

Paper FastPass is a thing of the past. They are gone for good.

However, anyone can now use FP+

Offsite guests can pre book FP+ 30 days in advance of their stay, for length of ticket.

If you have not already done so, you need to set up an MDE account or if you have, just link your tickets and you can join the fun.

Oh no! We will probably only manage 3 days at Disney this trip so think I can only buy tickets when we get there. The only ticket I seem to be able to buy in advance from the UK is for 7 days.
Has anyone tried to book Fast Pass+ on the same day? Do you think there will be any availability? :confused3

You can definitely buy tickets in advance, if you know how many days you want to visit. Undercover Tourist, who we usually buy our tickets from, sell the Magic Your Way tickets (from 1 to 10 days).

Even if you don't buy your tickets in advance, it is worth creating a MDE account so you can link your tickets as soon as you get them and use the app to make your FP+ reservations for the days you want. You shouldn't have any problems making reservations day of though (unless you are going on a mega-busy day like Christmas, Thanksgiving, 4th July or Easter when the headliners may well have limited availability times).

Also note that when you buy a US Magic Your Way ticket (with a UK dealer or with Disney US direct) you can upgrade your tickets as long as you have one day remaining on your tickets.

I thought I'd mention since you don't seem to be set on the number of days you need.

you can buy a 3 days ticket from undercovertourist for example, and shoud you need a 4th day, you need to go to a ticket booth on day 1 or 2 and ask to add a 4th day. You'll only pay the difference between the price of a 3 days and a 4 days ticket

you can also add hopper (change park during the day) if you don't purchase it as an option.

There is a very comprehensive thread about tickets and upgrading on the US part of these boards (theme park strategies) the thread is stickied.

Actually as long as the ticket is still active you can upgrade it so it can be up to the last day of use on your original ticket or 14 days from first use.

I would also recommend undercover tourist. Also if you sign up to the Mousesavers newsletter you will get another couple of $$ off.
