Is there something on the DIS that just super annoys you?

Judy, did you say something? ;)

I don't get that. I can understand on a long thread not wanting to read every post, especially when people are repeating each other. But don't people want their own posts read? If they are not reading other people's posts, are they expecting people to read theirs? :confused3

Also a big DIS annoyance of mine is when there is an "Official" thread already, with several pages, from weeks ago and people need to post their OWN thread asking a question on the same topic. Like their question is more special or different or something. :sad2:

I can understand when the "Official" thread hasn't been bumped up for a week and it's hard to find with the DIS Search, and you aren't subscribed to it. But sometimes the "Official" thread is right on the first page! Like SEVEN threads underneath the new thread, and has been there for a while. :badpc:

You know that person hasn't even bothered to scan down the page to even look to see what other people posted.

This happened tonight. There was one new DWTS thread. Okay, new poster. The old thread wasn't bumped up.

I posted to the "Official" Dancing With The Stars thread, so it's on the first page, now.

Someone else comes along an hour later, doesn't post to the "Official" thread OR the second thread some 10 threads down, but posts her OWN thread. :sad2:

Get with the program! We're a community, which means loosely making up rules and we collectively agree to abide by them as a group/community. What a novel idea!

I do get annoyed that when people complain about others spelling, grammer, vocabulary, whatever and they actually mispell a lot of words themselves.
I do get annoyed by off-topic conversations when there is a question presented. For instance, a friend of mine was concerned about planning the Disney trip, she had sent a post and recieved little help but got to hear all the news about someone's adorable baby.

I hate when I am reading a post about a normal Disney question and all the sudden there are political views being thrown out. I mean, I can understand on some posts that can be ok, especially when the conversation is about politics but when it is about a Disney Dining Plan, then it is annoying.

Sometimes the questions on the BOARDS are a source for opinion and so I can understand repeatable posts but when it is a common sense question, it is a tad annoying.

Was this on purpose? I need to clean the coffee off of my screen! :lmao:

Thanks for the early morning giggle,
Edie

No, I have a high post count and that happens to me, too. I feel like asking, :wave2: "HELLO??? Am I on your Ignore List? :confused3

Then I figure, I'm not in a clique, so they prefer to answer fellow clique members instead.

I think this is why people like the cliques - at least you know when you say something you will get an answer.

Whiners.

When people start off saying no offense, but... :sad2:

I love pictures of animals in signatures. :)

LOL...NO offense, or "I hope this doesn't start a fight"... generally means it will, or that someone WILL be offended...

And, I love pics in siggies :)

But, I'm not in any cliques. So, the cliquers don't talk to me on their threads when I've accidentally clicked on one and posted a response. :tiptoe:

How does one get into a clique? :confused3

And who cares if you dog wears glasses and a stupid hat.

I get annoyed with posters who talk in thinly veiled terms about other posters. ;)

(I haven't done that myself, recently. :rolleyes1 )

Just jump in and keep posting, you can come talk with us at The Sky is Blue! We are a friendly bunch!

Yes.

Incorrect spellings.

there/their
your/you're

And then to watch the same people who make these mistakes brag on their education. :lmao: Cracks me up EVERY time.
And they brag about how there IQ is really hi...doesnt ad up....or make much cents....

People who ask for advice and not give you the whole story. As the thread goes on they post things they forgot to mention. Well how are we suppose to give a helpful answer if you leave out possible pertinent facts?

What bugs me are people who put pictures of theire pets and kids in the signatures. Why would you want people on the intenet to know what your kids look like. And who cares if you dog wears glasses and a stupid hat.

Wow, what a nasty post.

I enjoy seeing pictures of people's children and pets.

My brother hooked his eye with a fish hook when he was 7.It hooked right through, barb and all. Is that like a steel cinder I wonder?

I've been waiting a long time to fit that lovely story into a post, this seemed as close as I would ever get.......

I also wonder how my parents handled the situation with no message board to consult with before taking action.:confused3

:scared1: :scared1:
Dear God, that hurts even *reading* about it!! On a quasi-related note, but more toward the opposite end of the body, I once hooked my friend's butt on a fishhook when we were about 8 or so. I was casting when I heard this screech behind me, and....yikes. We tried to get the hook out but couldn't, so ended up limping along down the path (we were at a resort at Lake of the Ozarks) back to the condo, me and my "catch". A nice man in a golf cart offered to give us a lift, but sitting for any length of time on a bouncy seat just didn't sound like a good plan to Hannah, somehow. Of course, we also didn't have the DIS to help us with that decision; we were solely at the mercy of our 8-year-old judgment.

That's one I wasn't sure I'd ever be able to squeak in on the DIS, either. Yay!

Anywho-what is that? I don't read anymore when someone writes that. I can't get past it and if they said it in real life I would cringe.

I hate fart posts or any bathroom posts . It sickens me that people would share stuff like that but I stil continue to read them and I don't know why.

When you give your opinion, someone doesn't like it and you are called a troll.

C'mon & post in the "More Booze..." thread, and I'll answer you. It used to be a clique, but everyone's left me.
