Did I read correctly that grinchmas is only at night? And is it a show or a ride? I am still confused, I read that there is snow, is it fake, or do they bring in real like at disney? Don't mean to sound so dumb, but never been there before at christmas time, so I don't know what to expect.
If we just go doing the day, can we still go into the grinchmas place or is it totally closed off?
Thanks for any help:confused:

Not dumb questions at all, Barb!

Grinchmas is ALL DAY, not just at night. Maybe you were thinking of the Halloween Horror Nights at Universal which is a separate entity and only occurs after the park closes.

Here's a link to the Grinchmas information... CLICK HERE It is not a ride but an exhibit of sorts tied in with the Suess Landing "island" of the park. My son and I go every year and thorougly enjoy it. Every aspect of Whoville is recreated, including the inhabitants and their weird ways! I do not believe the snow is real (I hope not!) but I'm sure someone here has the real deal on that.

Enjoy!

Last I knew, Disney's wasn't real either. At least it didn't look like the stuff we get up here in the winter!! :p

Thanks Robinr and wdeversole, I just can't wait now, I am going to be 45 yo tomorrow and since I made ressies 2 hours ago, i feel like I am about 10!! I just can't wait to go back, this is a sickness!! I moved from Michigan ( where there is a ton of snow) to florida almost 20 years ago, so wanting real snow is just wishful thinking on my part. Oh well, they usually truck some of the real stuff down here closer to xmas for the little kids to throw around. Kinda cool.

Hi Barb,
There used to be "chipped/shaved ice" put out on the ground in the Mt. Crumpet slide area, but a couple employees told us they won't this year because it's too much a hazard to walk on (I agree, landed on me rear one time!).
Grinch shows were going on Sat. & Sun. pm up until dark. Then all the lites come on and it's beautiful. Make it a point to ride the Caroseussel at nite! We rode it 3 times this week-end, our own personal record!
Have fun on your visit!!
Jim

It is one ride that my 4 yr old can do over and over and over, the other one is "one fish two fish", here we go starting that song again. I hope the parks don't close too early when we are there and I wonder if there are any fireworks this time of year?
