I am a huge fan of the Jonas Brothers but sometimes i can get overcrazy with them. I dont want to stop liking them i just dont want to be obsessed because i cant concentrate in school and stuff and now i get bad grades which i have never gotten really before....... Please Help!!!!

If this obsession is affecting your grades, you need mental help. That's no healthy, go see a doctor.

Smash your computer and rip all the posters off your walls.

Listen to Forever & Always by Taylor Swift. Everytime you listen to it, imagine Joe breaking up with you. Then burn the posters.

Become more active and try to keep yourself as busy as possible. Whenever you have downtime, that's usually when they'll creep into your mind and you'll get distracted.

Join more clubs at school, hang out with your friends as much as possible, exercise, play sports..ANYTHING!

Are you sure that that is what's causing problems? Or is there another problem causing this that you don't want to deal with and are using transferrence instead?

(imabrat) Ok first of all im not crazy and i dont need mental help because it's not that bad of an obsession and i have met girls that are far worse than me
and (I am what i am) what you are saying is true because i have some family issues right now but i never think of that and its not really affecting me badly its really the obsession.......

Maybe you think it's the obsession but it's really the issues.

Okay, first of all I never called you crazy. Mental help is when you see a professional, IE a doctor. People who go to doctors aren't always crazy. Number 2, you said your obsession was affecting your school grades. That is not healthy.

Maybe you should get your facts straight before you start yelling at me. BTW, people with obsessions always thing "it's not that bad". :upsidedow

Take their music off your iPod.
Don't visit their website/myspace page/facebook page.
Take their posters off your walls.
Don't buy magazines that feature them (I know, it's hard to find one).
Don't watch their youtube videos.

Try to find a new singer/band that you can listen to instead. I know Taylor Swift's been suggested, and I'll second that suggestion. She's awesome.

Also, trying to get involved in more activities at school might help, as well.

Good luck(:

I agree with Vannah.
Try to listen to other bands, and get interested with something school related or get a hobby.
It's not healthy to really be over-obessessed or "overcrazy" of anything.

::yes::
I like Taylor Swift AND JB.

Listen to Jason Mraz, Bushwalla, The Makepeace Brothers, and/or Eric Hutchinson...and you will be good. But might start obsessing over them a lot more.

qft. Nothing should ever disrupt your life like that. Nothing is worth it.

And the Killers! Their new album is wonderful!!!

OP, if something is interfering with your daily life then it isn't healthy. If you truly think the Jonas Brothers are the source of your problems, then I would suggest you try and find some new music to listen to and hobbies to enjoy.

Good luck!

i actually got rid of it by listening to other bands, and realizing there's more music than just the jonas brothers.
if you want i can refer you to some awesome music :D
some bands are fall out boy (favorite ever), panic at the disco, cobra starship, the academy is...
i have a ton more but i can't think right now. grrrr. haha.

but if it's affecting you that bad you need to talk to someone, i can relate to this since i went through the same thing.
for about a month (during the school year) they were all i would look up and in school (my school has laptops...for whatever reason i have no clue)
i would just look them up & not pay attention to what my teacher would say & my grades were suffering.
i realized then i needed to do something else with my life and with my friends i tried not to talk to them about them and new stuff
then i realized the jonas brothers aren't everything.

& maybe you're just using the music as an escape,
i know i for sure did!

I used to LOVE the jonas brothers (still do like them for the most part)
after i heard like all these meet and greet stories from joe on jonasbrothersfanclub.com about how joe is nothing like what he seems and hes a jerk. and the whole taylor swift thing. I am just getting tired of them so it goes away after a while as time passes on.

dont get me wrong

I STILL DO LOVE THEM BUT I LOVE NICK AND KEVIN MUCH MORE NOWW

but i never let it get in the way of school and stuff.
