Daughter really wants to see, and because of our short trip we are skipping HS. This will be her first time in Disney World, she will be 7.

Lots of villains merit a M&G in my opinion, none moreso than her. I've only met her once (during an MNSSHP a few years back), and that required some research on how to do it without waiting a long while or even meeting her at all.

The only other very, very slim chance you might have to meet Maleficent would be if you stumbled upon character training at Epcot and they just happened to be training Maleficent that day. If that happens for you, then go ahead and buy a lottery ticket right afterward as well. LOL.

Yes! I wish that they'd have a villains meet & greet. My oldest would love to meet Jack Skellington! Hoping they bring the villains out for the 24-hour event again this year, but since it's a different theme this year, who knows?

If she just wants to see her, then make sure to take in the castle stage show at the MK, Dream Along with Mickey. She's prominently featured in that. It shows several times/day.

I never heard of that show...I will look into it...Yes, jsut seeing her would be awesome!

I'm not sure when you trip is, but Dream Along With Mickey is going down for refurbishment at some point this year for about a month, (possibly on April 13) and rumors are it might be a totally different show when it comes back

I was just looking at the show on you tube! :) It looks great! I looked for times for August and September, and didnt see any. We will be there Sept 11-15. 2015.

Check wdwent.com for show times a week before your trip.

If Dream Along with Mickey is running at that time, the show is still dependent upon the weather. When it rains, the show goes into a Sing Along mode and I don't think Maleficent is a part of that. Hope you get to watch it - it's a great show!

It is a great show. DD became obsessed with it when she was 2. She still loves it at age 9. When she was younger anytime we were anywhere near the castle and it was playing we had to stop and watch it again. It has been playing multiple times a day since 2006 though, so it has been in place close to 10 years. I think that is about the longest one of the daytime castle shows has run. We will hate to see it go, but I have a feeling that when it comes back it will be something else...and the way things are going I would bet that Anna and Elsa will show up in that something else.

I looked at the park schedule at Disneyworld's website and it has showtimes up through April 11, and nothing beyond that, which makes me think the rumor it is going down next month is probably true. Maybe Maleficent will still make an appearance in whatever the replacement show turns out to be, if it comes back as something different.

My kids love it, too. I would be a shame if they do away with it, even if it is long-running.

I disagree. I think it's long past its expiration date. I think 5 years max if how long a show should run. It isn't Cats. Bring it back from time to time if it's THAT popular but I think change is good when it comes to live park entertainment.
