Is there any thing you wish disney would bring back?

Recently I was going through some old photos of my family's first stay on-site at WDW. We stayed in the cabins at Ft. Wilderness and they had this really cool water park right on site. I think it was called River park or some thing like that. My sons loved it. It was smaller than BB or TL but it was a lot of fun. This got me wondering. Are there things, attractions, restaurants that WDW veterans really liked and wished they were still around?

20,000 leagues under the sea - I was very young when I rode this ride and my parents loved it. I don't remember much, but I remembered that I liked it.

Discovery Island.
In 1991 (my honeymoon), My DH and I had such a wonderful time there. The wildlife was awesome. We took so many pictures of the exotic birds and had a picnic lunch on the beach next to a "shipwreck." Even the boat ride to & fro was fantastic. :boat:
While planning our May 2007 trip, I was looking for info on it and couldn't find anything. Does anyone know when it closed and why?

Lots of stuff...20,000 Leagues, Timekeeper, If You Had Wings, Wonders of Life at Epcot, the original Imagination, Horizons...

I'm forgetting something...

River Country! Yes, we had so much fun there. Someone on these boards had a link with really neat photos... I'll try to find it.

Discovery Island!!!!! :thumbsup2

I feel lucky that I at least got to go there once. What made is so special is that not many knew about it, and most that did preferred to go to a "ride" park.

It felt like having your own private island, and being a bird lover, I especcially enjoyed all the tame birds everywhere.

I think you're referring to River Country. We've got too many to mention, but we'd love to have Rignes beer back at Norway, Tennents beer at England, Ariel's resturant at the BC, the clam chowder at CHH...

They closed it around the time of Animal Kingdom opening. I think I remember that they moved most, if not all, of the animals to AK. We liked Discovery Island as well.

I really wish they still had 20,000 Leagues. It would need updating, but it was one cool ride!!!

Please forgive me if for this duplicate post...it was there and then it was gone, so I don't know what happened. And then it was back???

:confused3 :rotfl:

Mr. Toad's Wild Ride! Remember riding that over and over as a kid. Love the train at the end.

I know my wife would say WED Way and If you had wings. Why I have no idea but she loved them.

My Vote is for 20,000 leagues Under The Sea, My favorite ride.....And I asked my Hubby and he says Mr. Toads Wild Ride........... princess:

Horizons, Imagination...basically, the "stuff" that originally made EPCOT.

I agree. I was going to post "EPCOT (and not just the name.)"

20,000 Leagues Under the Sea. That was cool!

My DH and I rode it in 1991. It was claustrophobic but cool just the same. When we went back in 1998 I was excited to have my kids go on it, but it was gone. In its place was an overcrowded character signing area :headache:
I wish that would have kept it, and just did some updates.

The Mickey Mouse Revue... I think that was the name of it. It was the original show in what is now Mickey's Philharmagic.

I kind of miss the skyway... I always thought the 90 degree turn on the ride was neat.
