I am wondering if anyone has an idea if there would be any studios available Aug 18 for 1 week. Spirit is offering $39 air and I would love to go but I really need to book it now. There are only so many seats for this price. What would you do?

I agree with the other poster. How about booking somewhere else (non-DVC) so you have something to fall back on? Have fun!

For air that cheap, I'd just take a leap of faith and go! Even if I had to pay for lodging, it'd be worth it to me.

No need to book anything for a back up until Monday, though. You can decide on a back up plan (if one is needed) after you talk to MS on Monday.

FWIW, I think you'll be able to get something for points in one of the DVC resorts.

I have 90 points in a holding account and was looking at airfares for November and December. Jet Blue is only $49 - $59 BOS to MCO but I can't make the reservation until September or October. I'm thinking maybe I should just purchase the airline tickets and hope for the best but DH is concerned that we won't have a place to stay! Annmarie

BCVOwner2002 just do it. I am freaking out that there will be no places to stay on points but my AP was burning a hole in my pocket. If there is no rooms I can stay at Vistana Resort for $49 a night with the timeshare presentation. There are always other options. My dh will kill me because this was supposed to be my cheap trip. I will be on the phone at 9 am Monday. BTW we have the same name.

There are other places to stay besides DVC, you know! Gasp!

For airfare that good, (assuming you have the time and other $$ you need to go). I'd just do it! It would be great to use the holding points, but even if I couldn't, there are lots of other inexpensive lodging alternatives for that time. November & December are such great times to be in WDW!

Why not call MS and see what you can book now for less than 60 days - maybe someone will want to rent the reservation from you. If not, well - the points just go back into holding and you haven't lost a thing, right???

The problem I'm having is that I will be having surgery and will be out of commission for walking for approximately 8 weeks and really don't want to rent a scooter. I think I will sit down with DH tonight and suggest we just purchase the tickets and hope for the best. I'd prefer to use the points in holding than spend $ to stay somewhere else. Annmarie
