Is there an electronic copy of POS available?

We are still looking at buying resale but I've noticed a couple of threads where long-time members are doing research into POS details. I believe you get a copy if you actually purchase (resale or new) but is there an electronic copy around somewhere that I could read before buying?

Not to my knowledge, I've asked DVC directly. I'm sure they have word docs but I've never know of them letting them out.

Disney files the Master Declaration of Condominium for each WDW DVC resort with the Orange County Comptroller. Each MDC contains the rules, bylaws, definitions, and explanations of the rights and obligations of Vacation Club Members, DVD, and DVCMC. Each MDC is a very large document with several exhibits and attachments; for example, the BLT MDC is 18.6 MB in size. Although each resort has its own MDC, the language is about the same in all of them.

Electronic copies are available at the OCC website: https://officialrecords.occompt.com/recorder/eagleweb/docSearch.jsp. There is no charge to view or download copies from OCC.

If you tell us which resort you are interested in, I'll be glad to walk you through the steps on the OCC website so you can download your own electronic copy.

WDRL you are a great resource for OCC related information. I've used this site to research deeds, liens and found the BWV POS from a post you made in 2010. I'm now looking for OKW - I think I should be able to find based on the information on a deed but if you know the Document number it would make life even easier.

The OKW Master Declaration can be found on the OCC website at record number 19923963815. It was filed in book 4361, page 2551 and recorded on 1/6/1992. BTW, all resort Master Declarations are filed on the OCC website as "Condo Related" documents. As Dean mentioned, the Master Declarations may not reflect subsequent modifications.

The AKV Master Declaration can be found on the OCC website at record number 20070050562. It was filed in book 9077, page 4252 and recorded on January 23, 2007.
