Is there always an April/May offer?

I'm currently planning for April 27-May 6, 2012.
I know there is no offer yet, however, CM's on the phone and on live chat keep telling to me book now and then they can apply the offer "IF" one comes out.

At this point, with all the FD offers and 25% room discounts, I refuse to book a full rack rate package with the hope that they may release an offer for my check in date.

Should I just book with confidence that there will be an April/May offer of significance? What was the April/May discount in 2011? Was there one? :confused3

Yes. We have been in May the last three years. My dh works for airline and gets a great discount 40% room only, but we have never used it. We always use the gp or ap discounts because we like the dxdp. The discounts have been 35%-40%. off deluxe resorts. I am expecting the same discounts next year because despite what disney says the economy is not improving. More than likely it will get worse. As long as your not going easter week you will be fine.

If the Deluxe discount is 40%, what would the Mod discount usually be...25%?

I'm hoping for POFQ...25% would be great...35-40% would be way better!!

What I'm really, really hoping for is Free Dining

Although I am not sure the probability of a discount coming out for late April/Early May this year, Mousesavers does have a great log of Disney's special offers since 2008. It somewhat helps to get an idea of what may be offered, but like always, those things are never a guarantee.

Thanks...I just checked out the Mousesavers discount history page. Doesn't look they have ever offered FD for my dates in April/May. :sad2:

Kids Stay and Play free and room discounts look like my only hope.

I'm thinking if I have to spend that kind of money I might start looking offsite for a larger room somewhere, get a car to explore the rest of Orlando this time.

Universal, Sea World and a day at the beach maybe?

We did the best deal ever over spring break one year. I don't remember our exact dates, but I know we were there for my bday which is 4/10. It was spring break week. We got the 4/3 deal that year. That is by far my favorite promo!! I want to say it was 2009.
I am hoping for May 2012 for my DD's 13th bday. Hoping to go down around 5/25...

We went to Disney World in April this year, and while there was not an "official" discount, we found a great package with Southwest Vacations via Mousesavers ($200 off the package made our flight about $35 per person!). Mousesavers has great deals practically any time of year so they're definitely worth checking out, particularly closer to your travel date. Remember, you can book your ADR 180 days out, so you don't have to book your package before you book your dining.

OK I'm a little confused what 4/3 means? I looked up Mousesavers and found the pay for 4 and get 7 nights deal of 2010. That sounds really decent...
Is that the same? 4 nights for the price of 3?

What if you stayed 9 nights like I'm planning? You only pay for 5?

That would be awesome if that promo was offered in spring 2012!!:cool1:

I always go to WDW the first or second week of May. I usually use the AP discount, but did use the buy 4 get 3 nights free deal a couple of years ago. I stayed eight nights and had to pay for five and got three nights free.

They have basically said not to expect to see 4/3 again. Your best hope is probably a 30-40% discount.
