I was just thinking about classic non-Disney movies and how nice it would be to watch a few on our upcoming cruise. I have lots of DVDs but don't subscribe to streaming services. Is there any way to watch DVDs on the Wonder?

The tvs have lots of Disney classics you can stream. More than you could ever watch in a single cruise. There are no dvd players; and you cannot hook anything up to the tvs.

Your only option would be to bring a device that can play dvds like a laptop or a portable dvd player- but your on a Disney cruise- why waste time in your cabin watching old movies you could watch at home?

The theatres run new release movies and some ahead of theatre releases. There are kids cartoons and story time our kids enjoyed watching on TV while everyone got ready. You can also watch the theatre shows while they are running incase you can’t make it on time or want to see it again. I believe the Disney channel sometimes runs classic movies as well

Why do people bring books to read on cruises when they could read at home? Because some people enjoy relaxing while reading, both at home and in a cruise. Same thing with watching classic movies. I've sailed DCL over a dozen times and seen their movies. Sometimes I just want to watch something non-Disney.

To each their own- it’s your vacation. But the answer remains- there are no DVD players on board and no way to hook one up to a TV. So you would need to bring your own DVD compatible device.

You could buy digital copies of the movies you want to watch and download them to an iPad. That would at least save you from having to pack physical dvds as well.

I would recommend like the poster above to download whatever movies you want to be viewed offline to a tablet. Otherwise it’s play your dvds on a laptop. My newer laptop didn’t even come with a cd/dvd drive I had buy an external one.
