Is there a soft opening for The Little Mermaid?

I looked a couple pages back for some chatter on this topic but didn't see any. Does anyone know if this ride will be opening early or if it's already open?

It's definitely not open yet.

As for whether there will be any soft openings before the official June start date, my guess would be yes, there will be at some point, but the sneaky people at Disney may decide to just open it quietly on some random day, without any announcement, and if you happened to be in the parks that day you'd hit the jackpot!

The other possibility is that Disney could do a sort of sweepstakes/lottery thing like what they are doing for Star Tours 2.0 right now, where you basically enter and hope to be chosen to get in and see ST2. But they might be running out of time for that - they started the Star Tours lottery a few weeks ago.

I had a thought the other day, actually - I was thinking that Disney may just be sneaky enough to do a soft opening of the Little Mermaid on one of the AP holder preview days/times for Star Tours. The AP holders were given a series of times and dates to choose from to 'win' a spot to see Star Tours. If the Little Mermaid is ready for a soft open at that point, Disney may secretly decide to let the AP holders get to preview both rides on the same day...even though they are only thinking that they are being chosen for Star Tours.

A soft opening is unannouced. So it won't be on here unless someone in the park calls somone to let know, or puts in in thier FB stati or tweets it. Then it could be posted on a site like this.

If Disney announces an opening before the official date it would be an early or preview opening.
