Is there a list of places to get snack discounts with TIW card? I think we are going to go with the TIW instead of the DDP this time around, but my wife wants to know where we can get snacks if/when we want them If I recall, you can't just get the discount at any old stand, etc.

I never found anywhere where I could get snacks using my TIW card. Only meals at restaurants and at Pizzafari in AK.

Also - not all restaurants take the TIW card so it's good to check on that in advance so you know what to expect. I can't remember the website where I found the list. Probably the main Disney website.

Only at the food courts in the values and PO where there is no restaurant. And in AK at the quick service locations such as Flame Tree and Restaurantasaurus

You can use your TiW card at the following locations.

So, there's no place to grab a snack at Magic Kingdom? What about at the counter service at Artist's Palate at Saratoga Springs and other similar places?

So, there's no place to grab a snack at Magic Kingdom? What about at the counter service at Artist's Palate at Saratoga Springs and other similar places?

Snacks from Artist's Palate are discounted. SSR is our home resort and I used my card there many times.

A few weeks back, I had created a multi-page document highlighting every possible scenario in regards to dining. I had concluded that the TIW card was a better deal (as opposed to the DDP) for my family under most conditions. The problem I made, though, was that I figured in the 20% discount for counter service meals. I was under the impression that the TIW card worked at counters in all of the parks. I was wrong, unfortunately. Now I am not sure which is a better deal. I have to redo the math.

If nothing else, Disney really worked their DDP and TIW programs so that most people would have a hard time figuring out which is a better deal. From my seat, the only times there is a clear choice is when you are on the extremes:
1) if you love to eat out at the more expensive restaurants daily
2) if you prefer to eat sandwiches and other things you prepare in your room and eat as cheaply as possible when you eat out

For most, though, I think TIW and DDP end up with just about the same savings.

One other way that the ddp seems to save more is if you have kids under three. Since I have a 4 yo, 2 yo, and a 10 month old, the littler two can eat for free at buffets and share with us from the apps, entrees, and desserts. For us, DxDP saves about $200 over the course of a week over TIW, cetaris paribus. Course, we have the TIW card anything, but good to know!

It's a discount card for dining. You have to be an Annual Passholder or Florida Resident to purchase it.

It stands for Tables in Wonderland :confused3 , it used to have the normal sounding name Disney Dining Experience card.

$60 for AP holders and it's 20% off meals at the places mentioned above, and it does add 18% gratuity to the bill at table service locations.
