In the stores there are Easter baskets, Easter eggs and Easter dresses. Store clerks wished me Happy Easter as I am doing my shopping. I love it. I love Easter and there seems to be no hesitancy to wish others "Happy Easter". Easter is of course, the Holiest Christian holiday. So, why the political correctness surrounding Christmas with the generic Happy Holidays??

I have limited knowledge of other holidays, but am not aware of any other holidays celebrated around Easter time, whereas, at Christmas, there are several. I would guess that it why most people wish Happy Holidays, because this could be a Jewish person buying hannukah (sp) presents, but if you're buying something around Easter about Easter, what else is there to say?

Sometimes Passover coincides with Easter.

I also think that is silly. Whatever holiday one celebrates is how they can greet someone. I will never say happy holiday, I celebrate Christmas.
if another person celebrates Chankuah, Then happy Chankuah.

They are 2 different holidays why join them together?

I also think that you don't often say "Happy Passover" in general.

People wish me Happy Easter all the time.I just smile..It's not a big deal
