IS there a Code watch Thread for OCtober 2010

We are looking in October too for a long weekend. There are 6 of us going 2 adults and 4 kids. Wonder what the best place for us to stay. Thinking cabins but it may be cheaper to do 2 values..

I love everything about the cabins at FW except for 1 thing: the bunk beds are in the same room as the (queen?) bed. If I'm going to pay extra for all that extra room, I would prefer to sleep with a little more privacy. I don't know how comfortable the Murphy bed in the living room is; if the 2 adults don't mind sleeping on it you could put all the kids in the BR.

We really enjoyed staying in the cabins, but that was without my husband so the lack of privacy didn't matter.

Also, 2 value rooms = 2 bathrooms, always good!

Thanks for the input I appreciate it. My sister and I are actually going down there with my 3 kids and her daughter.

You're welcome! Then it really boils down to whether you would rather have a full size kitchen, or two bathrooms. Have a great time!

There is 5 of us (3 kids) We are a family that likes to see and do everything. The buses at POP are direct without stops. So we chose 2 rms at pop all kids will have there own bed and its cheaper than a cabin.
When we slow down we would like to try the cabins:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl: The only thing that slows us down is my husband. ( not as big a fan as me and the kids) LOL

Another October visitor looking for deals here!

I'm right there with you! I have an AP but I truly don't care what the deal is. DD really wants to visit during the Food and Wine Festival, so we'll be there regardless. Never utilized the FD program but it would be worth considering and I hope that those hoping for it will get some magic!:thumbsup2

why do you think I'm going with my sister and not my dh. Lol

I received a 30/35/40% code today! We probably cannot go at all but it was still fun to get. Still, I'm doing a little calculating in my head. ;) You never know....

We're hoping for a good discount as well. There's 4 of us and we're booked at PO-Riverside Oct 16 - 22nd. We're thinking of upgrading to the Wilderness Lodge if the discount is good enough!

We want to book for the end of September for a week..so going into October of this year (2010).
I haven't booked yet.. but will be there for a week.. and will be booking at one of the moderate hotels.
Does anyone have any suggestions about which property is better with the moderate hotels?
And what's all this code talk? I am assuming it's a discount code? How do I get one and what would you say is the best way to book (better deals, for your money, etc) Travel agent? Online yourself through Disney site??

Any help would greatly be appreciated.

Thanks so much!

First, I want to say WELCOME!!party:

Second, I suggest you scroll up to the top of the page and find:

(Left to middle of page)

Click on "Disney Resorts" and enjoy! (You make want to have a pot of coffee nearby!

Also to answer your question, yes these threads here are for discounts. Disney occasionally sends out Postcards or Emails offering deals for rooms, activities, dining etc... Nobody knows how they pick the people they send them too (but I think we are close to cracking the code!!) They also offer specials for certain times of the year. Right now, they have 2 offers going. Up to 30% off room until mid Aug and another for May-June for kids 3 - 9 free tickets. You can find info at www.DisneyWorld.com and click on the "Special Offers" tab on the upper right hand side.

Enjoy your vacation!

Hi, we are going 10/2-10/9. My husband received a pin in his email for FQSD but only good through August. I am hoping to receive another one for the time we are going. I am hesitant to book our trip yet because I am waiting for a pin or some type of fall discount! If I were to book now, how flexible are they with changing your resv if you were to get a pin or a discount did become available. We are going to book through Disney. One reason I do want to book is to make dining resv. You can't make any dining resv without a resv # right? Or am I wrong? TIA
