Is the week after Easter a good time to the parks for crowds?

Hi, in your opinion is the week after Easter a good time for crowds(compared to the weeks leading up to it, I know there are really no slow times anymore)? When I went before in spring time it was for school trips so I didn't get to pick the date.

the 16th -21st is still rough. The week of the 23rd is where there should be improvement.

The week after Easter is at least as busy as the week before. Together, they are second to Christmas in terms of crowds.

You'll see much lower crowds if you can put it off until early may

If you can push off your trip one more week then you will probably have much lighter crowds (comparatively). With it being right after Easter, marathon weekend and school vacation for the NE states -- it is probably like the perfect storm. I am going but only because there is a conference I am attending, but am anticipating almost Christmas like crowds.

The week after Easter is spring break for students in this area. Many people I know will be headed to Disney.

Dangit. All the crowd calendars told me 6's for the 19th-26th. :(
the good news is it should improve as your trip goes on.

Oh yes we will have fun regardless!!
just want to chime in saying for us the crowds the week following Easter have never been horrendous like many seem to claim. For us anyway! we ride everything we want especially at park opening, if it feels like crowds are growing by 12;30/1:00 we head to our resort for some chill time and head back later. Bring on the April weather too!

Totally agree! We went for our first Easter trip in 2015 and had a fabulous time. Maybe we were just expecting something a whole lot worse based on the horror stories we read, or we are more easy going than others since we go once a year. We are going back this year and can't wait!

Early/Mid May (prior to Memorial Day) is an EXCELLENT time to visit on virtually every level.
If you're flexible, shoot for then!

awesome!!!! we have been doing the 3rd week of april for years.... and will continue until our youngest graduates. We went from first week of may to 3rd of april and have loved it each time!

I think the difference this year is that Easter falls on the spring vacation for many states. Some states just place their Easter vacation whenever Easter falls and some states it is a fixed week (say 3rd week of April). This year happens to be Easter on the same week that most of the NE states have their Spring vacation and it is also landing on the same week as the Dark side Marathon. So two extra factors which will add to the usual Easter crowd level. That being said i think the timing of Easter has a big impact on how crowded it will really be. Next year Easter is 4/1 - so for us it is perfect -- we can go during our kids spring vacation, which will also be the Dark Side marathon which is something we want to partake in.

It is true that your trip is what you anticipate and how you can just roll with what ever is dealt to you. My first trip was NYE and yes it was crazy busy, but it we had a lot of fun because we planned ahead and just were flexible with what we could ride when it worked best.

You are at Disney so certainly better than any day at work!

I'm praying it won't be as bad as it normally is. I'm outside NYC and the majority of the suburban districts and NYC have off the week before Easter this year because of Passover being the weekend before. All of my friends who normally go for Easter will be leaving as I am showing up.
