Is the weather in September really that bad??

This makes me nervous. :crazy2: We've been once in September before and I remember it being so hot I wanted to lay down and melt.. but with my work we are required to schedule all our vacations as a team in early December and it just so happened to be the day I went into labor and so I just got stuck with whatever weeks weren't already taken so I didn't really get much choice in when we go.
We can handle the heat but I'll be nervous for the baby. He'll be 9 months and coming from MI the extreme heat will be something he won't be accustomed to and I feel like I'm going to be so worried about him it won't even be any fun. :scared: We're just going to plan on early mornings/evening time in the parks and swimming/resting at the hotel during the afternoon.
I'll take the heat over the weather we had our last trip in November though! It was so cold we didn't even bother going to the pools except the very end of our trip when it finally warmed up. We had days in the 50s and freeze warnings overnight. I know that's not the norm but I would hate to have a repeat of that trip.

He'll be fine :) I took my son when two days after he turned 1 over July 4th. We are from Alaska so we definitely weren't used to that weather! Misting fans, hydration and breaks are definitely keys to keeping him comfortable.

The heat really didn't bother us unless we were in direct sunlight - it was the rain. UGH. The rain!!!!

Our first half of our trip was at the end of September in 2014 and I think it was a record September for rainfall... but man were we miserable! My husband has written off September because of it and we end up just going in October now. I can deal with the random 15 minute showers each day, but our we were sloshing around in inch deep water in the parks (may be a slight exaggeration).

We went in September last year and the weather was good. In the upper 80's - thunderstorms late in the day most days and then sunny and warm again. I like warm weather though - anything below 70 degrees is unnecessary in my book. But, it wasn't like scorching hot mid-summer weather. The humidity was just "moderate." I think it's a great time to go.

We have been twice in Sept and it was really hot and humid each time!
