I read a terrible review of this film, but I've been really excited to see it. Should we still go?

Please - if you've seen it - don't include any spoiler information here. Thak you!!!

I also enjoyed it. Do not go thinking it's a horror film, it's more of a love story with a strange twist.

I have wanted to see this so badly but have heard such a mix of reviews from people. Some loved it,some said it was ok...others hated it. Guess I will just wait for it to be released on DVD.

I haven't seen it yet, but probably will. One review I read said that it's a good movie, but people are comparing it to The Sixth Sense, and leaving disappointed.

yes, go see it.
it is better than most movies these days =)

i think his movies get 'bad' reviews sometimes because ppl think everything has to be exactly like the sixth sense. like whoa he just fooled me for 2 hours. but if that were the case, going to see his movies would get boring fast.

I thought it was just okay, but I also think you should watch it. Bryce Howard, IMO, was excellent in this movie - it was fun to watch Ron's daughter in action. I wouldn't call it a bad movie, it's just not his usual "twist" type of movie. His camera movements and buildups of suspense are very good, though.

Saw it last night -- I think the problem is how they are marketing it. It is definitely not a horror/scary movie. So people expecting that are disappointed. I don't think it was M. Night's best work. At least in Signs there was some connection with the characters and funny dialogue. It was ok, I kept waiting for the pace to pick up and then when it was over I was kind of - that's it? I did know one of the extras so that was kind of fun. She acts in our local theatre group, her entire family was in it but only noticed her.

I would say see it, but my DBF would probably say don't see it. How is that for an answer? Sorry....

For me, any movie that really makes me think is a good movie!

You will really enjoy it more if you don't expect a horror movie. It has an unexpected twist. It is pretty interesting.

My bf and I saw it on Sunday and we HATED it. It moved slowly, the dialouge was boring and scary it was not. The idea of the movie was a really good one, but it just didn't meet the standards of his other movies.

If it isn't a horror movie, don't advertise it as one. I haven't seen it but now I'm not so sure I want to. They have advertised this movie as his typical films and I was looking forward to that. I will most likely wait until video now.

I didn't care for it at all. Lots of hype and it was slow moving at times. The big "twist" was not that big of deal.

Maybe I'll leave DH home...it is almost impossible not to go see around here....being he is from here and everyone is talking about it. If I don't get at tthe movies I'm sure I'll be spoiled b/4 it hits video!
