Is the room deal better than the gift card?

At first glance it seems like it is, but I want to make sure I'm not missing anything ... The price for a January trip 17th to the 22nd, room only discount, came up $420 for ASMovie and adding 6 day tickets for my 2 little ones and me changed it to $1147.19 ... the price for the same trip with the gift card deal is $1271.03 and then you get the $200 gift card ... a $123.84 difference, so would I basically be paying for the gift card in the end? It makes more sense to go for the first option right because the package is cheaper or does the gift card make things easier and seem like the much smarter option since it is at least an extra $77? It's just a gift card right, it doesn't give any special percentages off of meals or anything does it?

This probably seemed like a crazy post ... sorry :o/

If you will end up with 77 more, it's worth it in my mind. You will more than likely use the entire 200 at WDW on food etc. No discounts with the GC.

Did you price the FD offer?

That was going to be my first choice, but unfortunately it said there are no rooms matching my range for that deal and that's likely because I went back and read that my arrival date is out of the range ... for January it's the 9th to the 13th and doesn't start back until the 21st, but I plan to arrive on the 17th :(

That's too bad about FD, but the GC isn't bad if you will end up with 77 extra.

If you are not attched to ASMovie, you might consider looking at POP they have a standard room or preferred room available, and the rooms are being refrubed right now.
