Is the relocated Edge on the Magic better than the old one?

We were on the TA last May and my daughters went to the Edge a few times. I read that the Edge has since moved into a space about half the size on the ninth deck. My youngest daughter will be just past thirteen when we go on on our next TA in Sept. 2017 so too young for the Vibe but I wonder if she might find the tween club uninteresting if nothing has really been added and much more was taken away.

Personally, I think it is definitely too small now. But my (then) 11 year old loved it in December. The kids were all grouped around the video games basically. I think they like being closer to ice cream and food.

There were fewer than 200 kids on last years TA of all ages. Perhaps it won't be too crowded in the Edge as a result. I know my daughter loved the Vibe as they went there for "smoothie time" from the Edge. Not sure if they might let a child into the actual club however who was only three months past thirteen and honestly, I don't think I would allow that if there were a lot sixteen and seventeen, year olds, even if they did. I have heard it depends on numbers and ages on the cruises.

Last year (when it was first opened) I did the WBTA and there was an adult even in the club the one night. There were maybe 10 kids in there at the time it started that were being ushered out so definitely not overly busy. They were all playing video games from the looks of it.

Also popped my head in on an open house earlier in the cruise to see what the new one looked like and there were maybe 5 kids in there again playing video games so I don't think it was too crowded.

Didn't seem to be much really in there apart from video game consoles but the kids seemed to be enjoying themselves.

Also went in the Vibe and I def thought it was nice atmosphere up there. Mainly older kids hanging out though

They do a lot of things outside the club like scavenger hunts, basketball, etc. They also do some things with the Vibe like smoothie time.

We were on the Magic May 1-8 and my DD, who is 12, liked the new location and spent a lot of time there after dinner.

Good to know. She had her sister with her last time but will be on her own next time. I definately would not want a barely thirteen year old in with seventeen year olds so would want her to stay with her own age group.
