Is "The OC" on TV in the UK?

I've a Londoner friend with whom I exchange Xmas presents. He's always been into soap opera-type TV dramas, like Neighbours (in fact, he ran a pretty comprehensive website devoted to Neighbours for a while), Desperate Housewives, and ... I can't think of any others ... brain like Swiss cheese. I thought about getting him a DVD or companion book for "The O.C.," but if it's not shown in Britain, he might not 'get' it.

Does anyone have the Lost or Desperate Housewives companion books? I know he's been downloading Desperate Housewives, and I also know he bought the first season of Lost on DVD when he was in L.A. recently, so I was thinking a companion book might be fun.

Does anyone else get as stressed out about buying Xmas presents as I do?

I hear the Lost book is very good!

Yep some people are easy to buy for and some very stressfull! I've lost 4 'difficult' ones off my list this year as in our group of Uni friends we have decided to just buy for the kids. The downside is I'll have even less to open on the day!

Yes the OC is on here, my daughter loves it.

I also get stressed thinking of the perfect present to buy, so your not alone there

Thanks, Jo and Sue. I feel like an idiot because after I posted my question, I got on to AmazonUK, and what was the first thing I saw? "The O.C." on DVD! Sigh ...
