Is the Disney reservation website accurate?

Getting ready to book my reservations for a four night trip in October, and I was just checking out the official Disney site to see how much I would be looking at.

However, it appears the only moderate avaliable for my dates is CSR ( I was hoping for POFQ). Is the site usually accurate, or is it pretty much the same as calling? I wonder because on AAA.com and Expedia.com it says there is avaliability for my dates, and because I'm still a good few months out.... but maybe I missed the boat..

I know I'll have a good time wherever I stay, but I was just worrying.....

Hi:wave:

I would call and see if they have POFQ is available for your dates.
I too have looked on line to price my vacation and the showed no availability at the resort of my choice but when I call they say they have rooms left. Besides, people cancel or don't get their deposit in by the deadline all the time. :D

Plus, as far as accurate, I was looking at dates in July yesterday, and the Disney site was giving me Regular season rates, even though all the dates I was trying all started within the value season. I guess they still have a few glitches.

PS I haven't posted in a while, I will see if my Christmas countdown is still at the bottom of my post, and , if it is, does anyone know how to get rid of it???!!!

I noticed the same thing. I was checking dates for the first two weeks of October and the Disney site had limited avalibility at most resorts. I checked travelocity & expedia and they had just about all the resorts and different rooms categories available.

Oh, ok that sounds better. Thanks everyone!

Mars315 - Click on User CP at the top of the page, then click on Edit Profile, then go down to the Signature Box.
Remove everything at the bottom starting with the stuff that looks like code (I can't write in or it thinks its code) . Basically delete everything that doesn't make sense! :p
Good Luck!

I had this same problem last week when booking our June trip! We wanted POFQ and the disney reservations site said there was nothing available. So I called and was able to get a room with no problem. Good luck!:)

The Disney web site is probably the last place you want to book. You're basically stuck with rack rate, and there's a history of showing no rooms available when a call to CRO reveals that there are.

I think the discrepancy comes from the fact that Disney allots a certain number of rooms for online booking, just like they allot rooms to TA's or Expedia/Travelocity. They also have a certain number allotted for phone bookings. They don't treat the phone number and the online systems as the same inventory. When one is sold out, the other may still be available.

I really doubt the accuracy of that site too. I was checking availability for my dates at a really dead time in September, and it kept quoting me for concierge rooms, claiming no regular rooms were available. I seriously doubt that is correct.
