Is the Decor Identical in All Rooms - Have They Ever Changed It?

Just wondering if the decor (bedspread, couch pattern, curtains, etc.) is the same in all the rooms of any given DVC resort? All the pictures I see of each resort show the exact same decor for each room type (do realize studios are outfitted differently than one and two bedrooms).

I am assuming if this is the case, it helps a lot with housekeeping. But I am sure they can't or won't keep the same pattern for 40 more years! Well, they are Disney. I guess they could if they really wanted to Bet they could get someone to keep making those spreads forever!

Yes, the decor is supposed to be identical in similar units (studio, 1BR, 2BR, GV) at the same resort.

However, there can be changes over time. For example, as the fake plants at OKW wore out, they were not replaced.

I may be wrong, but I think that a few years after our first stay (1995) at OKW, the carpet color changed.

I would not be surprised to see subtle and not-so-subtle adjustements to the decor over time -- but I think each resort will retain its theme.

The last time we stayed at a 1bdrm at the BWV they were replacing the chair in the bedroom. I saw a group of them as they were unloaded off the service elevator and they looked exactly like the old ones!

As for OKW, since 1994, I remember the carpet being changed and the fabric on the sofa & loveseat as well. Still the same type - plaid, just slightly different colors. Still blends with the original colors.

okw use to have alot more pillows - in the chairs and on the bed....I miss them

I also like the table stuff at OKW.

Like others have said, the carpet changed in OKW, but nothing radical. The patterns/colors are always similar. It's one of the reasons that it always feels like you are "going home." You open the door and everything is the same as the last time.

The apholstery fabric on the master bedroom chair/ottoman changed too. It used to be pink and white searsucker, and now it is a hard weave looped fabric. They have also eliminated the "plants", and the color matched placemats and fabric napkins. I really miss those!
